    1. The name "Season Mode" is misleading - it's actually a Franchise mode. This was originally called GM Mode I think in the first Japanese game, dunno why it was changed.

    2. Should be on the main menu, I think it's in My Data.

Re: Official MLB Power Pros thread!

Someone posted a review on their blog.

      Pros:

      Excellent pitching/batting controls.
Plenty of game modes to keep you busy for the long winter ahead.
Simple to pick up and play, yet deep enough to keep most baseball enthusiasts entertained.

      Cons:

Steep learning curve for fielding controls
      Inability to control pitching speed
      Awful commentary

Final Opinion: If you are like the majority of gamers, you skipped The Bigs in hopes of a better baseball title in the future. Thankfully, Power Pros is a stellar title, even if the season is just about over…

      The Tanooki Rating: 8.0
Decent review, though I think he should look into the pitching controls a little more, since he didn't seem to know about the boost pitch speed or the Expert pitching setting. Seems more like a "first impressions" review, considering the ridiculous amount of depth in the game I dunno how much time he put in before writing it.

Now I just have to create the missing players and set the lineups and rotations for each team.
PS: I also have to unlock the ability to use an arranged team in season mode....100,000 points
How do you set lineups and rotations for each team?

another con, though not a big thing, IF/OF has in-out shifts, and the bunt D, but no left/right or DP IF shift.

            maybe i'm not finding it.

but i'm sill loving this game so far :P

According to what I've read there is no left/right shifts. So no Bonds/Giambi/Ortiz shifts are present.

Kinda disappointing but not like I can't live without it.

I think the infield does an automatic DP shift.

And how in the hell do you take a bigger lead? Read the instructions... weirdest control scheme for leading off I have ever heard of. I don't even get it.

I think it's the D-pad with the GC controller? Press in the direction of the base or something, I can't remember. Might need to experiment with it a bit, but I know you can do it...

That's weird.....the CPU did a shift for degaldo when I was batting. The shortstop was on the second base......I'm sure of it

No no, I know that you can, but in the instructions it says something like double-tap the directional button than the desired base or something... I have no idea.

Doesn't matter. As long as I can get other guys when they're leading off! I've picked 3 guys so far.

i've played a bit in normal mode, and i found the pitchers are pretty aggressive man, it was hard to get walks in the Show, it might be harder in this game.

another lil thing i hope for in the future is an active bullpen, and the option to have the manager come up to the mound.

and i sorta miss the past pitch type and location markers that was in the Show.

and u gotta love how bad the commentary is haha.
it's not really bad, there's just so lil of it, other than announcing player names, K, HRs and hits

You guys know how hard it was to find this game?

I went to two Best Buys, a Target, and a Circuit City before I finally went to a Gamestop and found a copy.

I can't wait to go home and play.

I work at a GS and we only got two for the PS2 and 3 for the Wii (not including my preordered copy)

I went to a Best Buy in Durham, NC (Soithpoint) and they had about 15 PS2 copies. Didn't check on the Wii.
