Sorry for asking so many questions....
I own the show but I think it's very worth it to get this. If you're really into running a franchise, despite the 10 year limit, there are TONS of options!
I have an xBox360 with MLB2K7 and I still got this. I'm sure I'll probably play it more than both.
    Go Yankees!
    Go Packers!
    Go RedBulls!

Thanks for the input. You have it for the Wii?

I have the show on PS3 and I would "absolutely"( in the voice of Rocky ) say yes 100 times over. There are things that this game does, that The Show would pee itself trying to do....not to knock The Show, cause I love that fricking game. It's different, it's fresh and you have never played anything like it, unless your a participant of this series before.

It's hard to describe, but I could not put the show in and play it for 15 times in a day. Well I couldn't do that with any game, as boredom would set in real quick. I have probably played now about 17/18 exhibition games just today( day off, wife out of town) and I am going to play some more tonight....which is sad, but it is that much fun.

Like what? I have the Wii version sitting next to me, debating on opening. But you alone have almost convinced me! LOL

bluengold, what are your thoughts on the postgame stat screens? Do you actually look through them, or are they something you generally skip over?

I'd draw more walks if I stopped chasing pitches just out of the strike zone...

I've had a couple epic at-bats though involving several foul-balls as I desperately protect the plate. I usually end up striking out or grounding out in these.

Each individual game is being played in a 20-30 minute timeframe, right?

I know I asked before, I just want to confirm the time.

Yeah, that's always the little problem with walks in any game, isn't it?

Basically, I meant as long as the count can get to 3 balls, then I'm satisfied. From there it's up to the player's own eye and patience to get that last one.

Just picked up the game about to fire it up. I played The Show for PS2 up until the end of August or so, I'm hoping this breathes new life into baseball. I'll try to get some impressions up later for those still on the fence or if not I will tomorrow morning.

Bought the game today and was able to play one game late this afternoon. I don't know all the ins and outs yet but I can already tell this MLB Pros is going to play a good game of baseball. I had the lead in the late innings and had a power hitting left hander come up to the plate. The CPU immediately pulled the right hander they had on the mound and brought in a left handed pitcher. The next inning they got a baserunner on and brought in a speed guy to pinch run. Needless to say I am impressed with what I see so far. I am going to have to up the batting difficulty once I figure out how because on Normal I got 24 hits.

I've played two games, a 4-3 game lasted about 25 minutes, and I won a 13-12 game in 11 innings that took 34 minutes. There's not much down time at all, mostly gameplay from start to finish.

                              Just go to Options.

You could make the CPU tougher by raising pitching to Expert or higher for them.

And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

What difficulty are you playing at? Rookie sets the batting mode to a setting where you can hit the ball with any part of the bat and it will react as if you hit it with the sweet spot. If you're on Normal, you might want to try toning down the Lock-On setting, or even try moving to manual.

You can also, of course, up the CPU level for pitching, it can be pretty challenging on the harder settings.
