Last question. Is it true you don't field the ball yourself and only control the throws? Just curious.

Sky, thats completely up to you brother. You can do manual fielding, manual base running or semi auto or completely computer controlled. There is no aspect of this game that you can't manipulate to make it the way you want it.

You guys are working on an updated roster/attribute set, but how would I get them on the Wii version?

SD cards. Load the save up on your computer, and insert card.

Just won my first game with a 3 run walk-off home run by Jim Thome. The celebration was awesome as the team mobbed Thome at home plate.

There's two different control options for that, the standard now (the face buttons correspond to the diamond, so on PS2 it would be X home plate, triangle 2nd base, etc) or an old school option of hold the Control Stick to a direction and press a button (hold up for 2nd, left for 3rd, etc).

Did you notice the condition system in the game? It's the smiley face icons. Similar to Winning Eleven's system with arrows, they affect how well a player performs in the game compared to their standard stats. On good days, players will perform better than usual. On bad days, they'll perform worse than usual.

Condition will ebb and flow throughout the season, and even during a game (a pitcher or hitter can get hot, resulting in an increase of their condition, or they can suck it up i.e. strike out 3 times in a row and their condition may go down temporarily).

Play with the "Show Stats" option set to enabled instead of hide to keep the info on the screen, otherwise you'll just see it on the pause menu.

So there are actually celebrations and stuff for specific events like homers, playoffs, etc?

                      How's the crowd?

I definitely recommend turning the announcer off. Also for you Troy Glaus fans, the stadium announcer gets his name right, but the main announcer calls him "Tony Glaus" Well done guy.

The sound is ok otherwise. The crowd isn't anything magnificent from what I have noticed but they do get excited when they should.

I was playing with that off, and I'm sure it wasn't good that day...thanks for tip, I forgot about that

Playing the Rockies at Coors....Craig Monroe blast one for me off of Hawkins 477 feet into left field it bounced off the concession stand behind the outfield bleachers

Aramis poked one to center that hit that top of the wall right below the bleacher section out in centerfield..like 471
Still lost 7-3 as they scored all 7 runs in the 7th off my bullpen...boy when it goes downhill, it really snowballs fast.

Yeah, the Pawapuro games can punish you pretty badly if you either leave a pitcher in for too long or your bullpen isn't having a good game. The special attributes some hitters have will take advantage of those situations (hits well with RISP, rally starter, clutch hitter, etc). Be sure to analyze your opponent's lineup and check these special stats!

Manny got mobbed at the plate for knocking a 2-run game winner out in my first game. They gave him the Player of the Game Award for it too and showed it as a replay. Nifty enough. The crowd seems average, it responds to Ks and HRs well enough and it's certainly not bad but I wouldn't say it stands out as a feature. Basically, it's good enough.

I noticed after an Ortiz bomb in my second game and a single right after that Lackey's eyes bugged out a few times and he looked distressed. I'm guessing there's some sort of composure system too. The smiley faces also seem to change during a game if a player does something good or something bad. Beckett went from a Red one to a dancing purple one after I had a couple good innings with him.
