Yea, right there with ya. Ive been tempted to import the Japanese version for PSP or DS as Ive done in the past on the PS2. But the release of MLB PP has me holding out hope that we'll see handheld versions here in the states in the future.

    DS (JP)

Man....2 player wifi DS play would be so fun!

Man I waited too long to try this game out! I just got done playing it for the first time and I like it alot so far. I love how the ball slices on line drives. I like that you can field without a aid. I also like how the stadiums look. The only thing I cant seem to figure out is how to lead off a base. I do what the instructions says but it doesnt seem to work.

This thread is huge. So can someone please tell me if the PS2 version can be played on the 60gb PS3??

        Thanks.

EDIT: Actually did some research on here. It looks like you can.

Yep. Every game I've tried on the 60gb plays fine so far.

Being new to PS3, I'm confused about playing PS2 games on the different PS3 SKU's. I thought I read somewhere that you can play more PS2 games on the 60g model than you can on the 80g's. Is this true?? Also, will this game play on an 80g?? That's what I just bought (haven't received it yet)

60GB PS3 is fully backwards compatible. (Done with hardware so it basically has a PS2 in the system)
80 GB is roughly 75-80% BC done with software.
40 GB only plays PS1 games no PS2 games.

LOL. Skyboxer, I think you mean the 40gb doesn't play PS2 games.

BTW, this game power pros is f'n awesome!

Dare I say it, I get the same feeling when I played Tecmo Super Bowl.

Is there a list somewhere of which games are backward compatible on the 80GB model? I have about 12 PS2 games that I really don't want to get rid of if I decide to get a PS3. Thanks!

Hey, I just got this game the other day and LOVE it!

Just a few problems though...How do I edit the rosters?I want to add Jon Garland and Torii Hunter to the Angels but, I don't know where to go to do this.

And, how do you make the CPU throw more balls?

The main "problem" with the game is generating realistic walks. It's just not going to happen. for the roster question see the link.

I didn't even play success mode and I can arrange a team.

I updated the Angels roster, but couldn't keep them as the "Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim" , I had to settle for Sacremento.
