Nastiness? I am trying to understand the menus in this game. I have not personally attacked you nor have I used your words against you! I have the same goal as you to get help in any way I can. There's no need for that comment.

I don't understand what you mean here? When does this meter get into the red / danger zone? Doesn't this meter just explain the speed of the pitch?

Whoa when did this thread suddenly explode?

The tone in which someone says something is lost in reading words on the internet. I doubt there's any nastiness going on here. Chill guys.

Are you serious? Where did I provoke you? I have thanked you repeatedly for the translations. I didn't mean anything by copying and pasting your words. I thought that would make it clear that I have the same goals as you stated. I'm sorry that you took it the wrong way. I truly didn't mean anything by it and I'm sure you didn't mean anything by your comment for me to edit or delete my post. I requested that you be specific as to what was incorrect, and you did regarding the pitch type gauge, and I corrected it.

Why do you regret it? I think it's important that you clarified the gauge, so now I know that it is a speed gauge instead of "movement", which admittedly was vague. This is all good stuff. I have no hard feelings at all, in fact I appreciate that you took the time to correct any inaccuracies. It shows that you care about getting it right. All I asked was that you explained what was wrong about my post, and you did, and I corrected it. Problem solved!

I did bring up the manager screen manually. Now that I understand it's function I can just ignore it. I think it would be too much work to try and translate all of their advice, UNLESS it gives tips on the games mechanics and features - for example the pentagon, speed bar and such. If it's just general baseball tips then eh.

Muka, let me know if you want me to take pics of all the pause screen menus. Not sure if you've started on that already.

Is there a way to vary pitch speed? For example your pitcher has a 92MPH fastball but you want to "take a little off" and throw it 90MPH (like The Show.) Can this be done?

Thanks all for helping out here

swaldo, just post ALLLL the pics you want translated. I have an EXTREMELY BORING office job and my duty is literally go online ALL DAY. lol.

and no, sorry, not really a way like you described to take a little off. but there is a way to "put a little more in". hold the direction as you select the pitch until you see 2 chinese character pop up. that will give you a "full power" pitch but it will take a lot more off your stamina.

The only way I can think of taking a bit off of a pitch is to intentionally miss the pitch point cursor timing slightly. Of course if you do that, the pitch will be a little off target from where you aimed, but wouldn't it take a bit off of the speed of a fastball, for example?

To do a "full power" pitch, you flick up on the right analog stick. I've never tried holding the direction as you select the pitch. Does that work too?

Is there any way to make a man on base increase their lead off the base when you are batting? Like lets say there is a man on first and you want to increase the lead he has a step or two? Or is that automatic? I know you can make them steal by pressing /\ (triangle), but is there a way to make him increase his lead without telling him to steal?

Okay, so I just had this manager advice pop up automatically. I am the Marines and my first batter of the game got a base hit. (no outs) After he reached base, this manager advice screen popped up automatically.

What is he suggesting that I do here? What's the english translation of the japanese text? It's informative since pressing O (circle) just brings me to the main pause menu.

Whoa. You're right! Holding down the direction as you select the pitch works also! I never knew that! I just always flicked the right analog stick up, as that toggles the "full power" pitch on or off, and is a bit easier to do when you want to do a "full power" pitch on a second level pitch type, as you would otherwise have to hold down R1 + the direction at the exact same time. If you use the flick up on the right analog stick method, you can first select the second level pitch you want by tapping R1 + the direction, then tap the right analog stick up to toggle on and off the "full power" pitch at your leisure.

Either way works. Nice to know there are two ways of doing a "full power" pitch. Great info!

I'm not gona directly translate everything (because I can't as my Japanese sucks haha) but think this is talking about the "full power" pitch, which mukamuka has already explained. It also says that full power pitches use extra stamina, so you should only use it sparingly. (I think)

Yes, holding the direction is brand new in 2010. i guess it can be considered a "new feature", lol. flicking the right analog stick still works like u said. either way is the same.
