So when you say you strictly watch CPU v CPU, do you mean that's all you do? I mean, you do play the game, right? Hopefully . . . . .
LOL, yessir, strictly cpu. I make trades and construct my own team and basically play GM. I have altered settings whereas my games are not all boring. You can make the game faster paced by pressing x after each pitch and during cutscenes.

Will do (PSN is rustito). Though I don't know how soon I'll get around to playing something like this online... I can see it being a frustrating experience for the other player while I try to remember what does what.

Not really man, ask any one who's played with me....I am very patient, and can teach/show you as you go.....I won't lie.....I love a challenge because it gets me to thinking about what adjustments I need to make to win the next time around......but I would love even more for the US gamers to get involved with this game and watch our US PYS community grow .....and if I can teach any gamer what I know about this game....and that gets them hooked and they get to pass it on to their friends.....them I am putting in my "grain of salt" for gamers to realize how great this game is .....hell, maybe one day we can have our own PYS leauges/tournaments.

            And no.....I don't work for Konami.....I wish.....cause then I wouldn't have to pay for the game.....LOL

Wow, that's actuallly kinda cool. I too love playing GM, which is why I was excited to hear about the improvements to Pennant Mode this year. While I will still definitely play most of the games, maybe I'll follow your formula once in a while and watch my team rather than just skipping over it. I'm sure it must be rather satisfying to watch a team that was constructed, atleast in part, by yourself. Thank you for the neat idea.

Just playing on default out of the box settings I am beginning to believe the hype about this game. Here's the thing though. Other than to my 3 and 4 hitters, the opposing pitcher hardly ever throws a ball. Everyone seems to be in the zone. Is this normal on my settings? Without changing settings out of the box, am I on "easy" settings? I love the speed of the pitches in this game. I wish the Show had similar pitch speed. I really would love to dive into the 20 year season mode, but I just think I'd get lost

The easier you have the CPU Pitch difficulty, the less pitch variety you will see including A LOT more strikes than balls. Anything above Hard - and you will see pretty realistic pitch counts, depending on the pitcher ofcourse. However, it is still up to you to work the count! If you swing @ everything the CPU will pick up on it and give you nothing good to hit until you show some patience.

If I remember correctly, out of the box normal settings in Japanese games tend to be easier than normal in American games... If you're a seasoned sports gamer don't be afraid to crank up the difficulty a bit!

Finally got a win with the Chiba Lotte today against the Eagles, 3-2. This was my fifth try... I feel like an idiot and I think you all are going to laugh at me for how I won this, but I actually decided to play small ball. I realized that I hit into a ton of double plays in the other losses. So I led off the game with a Okada single. Where I'd usually swing away, I instead had Ogino lay down a sac bunt. Iguchi then smashed one over the SS head for an RBI single. Tae Kyun then rocked a 140 m homerun into the left field stands. That turned out to be the only score for the entire game. Crazy tension trying to hold the lead. I've learned my lesson. Play this game the "proper" way to win.

Nice one SqueakyD! You're absolutely right about small ball being the key to winning, especially with the Marines. I'm on some weird Baystars binge right now (don't know why) and the best way for me to score is by stealing bases and bunting guys over. I'll hit the occasional HR but more often than not it's a sac fly that I'm going for. Lotte doesn't really have any power, and I don't ever play Tae Kyun so that's even less pop in the lineup for me. I like Fuukura even though he's getting old and Ogino is a guaranteed stolen base when he's on 1st, perfect leadoff hitter.

And the harder the settings you use the more fun and realistic it is IMO. I use Perfect for the CPU Hitting and Hard- for CPU Pitching, all with Realistic Batting/Pitching Point.

LAUGH?!?.....That's how REAL baseball is played! That's how I play.....EVERY TRICK IN THE BOOK IS ON THE TABLE....it's about knowing your teams strengths and maximizing those abilities to overcome the weaknesses and give yourself/team a chance to win everytime.

Now tell me this....is their any other sports game that gets your heart rate up like PYS...all that tension of turning the game over to the bullpen and get the right matchups and hope none of your releivers throws a "meatball" specially against a powerful offense like the Hawks......MAN, I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!! IT"S LIKE BASEBALL CRACK!!!.....LOL
