Re: am i crazy, how can any baseball gamer not prefer asb?
LOL I’m not exactly a WSB guy… I happen to own both ASB 2002 and 2003. I was looking forward to 2004… then I saw this WSB 2K3 screenshot:
And then I started to pay attention to this game more after seeing the true beauty in that quality shot, and made me realize that there’s more than All Star Baseball now on the PS2 (because the previous year WSB was on Xbox and Dreamcast). Now I learned that my eyes are open to ALL games.
From what I’ve seen so far, ASB is the baseball game I’m going to buy… however that’s only because SEGA/Blue Shift hasn’t released any ESPN Major League Baseball information yet. But as of now I’m taking ASB over MVP.Comment

I agree w/ Chicago Sparty completely. The lack of variety of hits ruined it for me. I really dug the game at first, especially the nostalgic feel and the stadium graphics. God knows no one could ask for more depth or options, but the flaw w/ the hits killed the gameplay for me.
Thankfully this is allegedly being addressed, as is the pinpoint control of the pitchers, which is my other gripe.
