Re: Questions for ASB Man
Thanks again for answering all the questions, ASB-man. I have some slight questions involving your answers.
- One of the biggest reasons the Vacuum effect was so annoying is because it was so BIG! Not to mention, it's probably not related to this effect, but sometimes outfielders and even infielders would go in to catch a pop fly, and would show as being off target (this is with auto fielding on) but still catch the ball. That was annoying when I was first learning the game and getting used to it, and the Vacuum takes alot of the realism out of it, and almost all fun of looking at replays. How much specifically have these areas been improved? I don't mean to ask for all the details, a simple "the vacuum effect is alot less annoying now" will suffice, but you get the point.
- As for the glitches, I recently had one where a still of the batter walking up got stuck on one side of the screen for one half of an inning, and you've read of the off-line fielding and such. Have these problems been fixed or looked at for improvement?
- The Suspensions have me wondering, will it be random? or will it be for the big stuff? As in, if a pitcher threw at the batter's head, there's a good chance they would get suspended. If the batter charged the mound after an accidental plunker, there might be a chance they'd get suspended. Just wondering if that would have anything to do with the actual suspensions, or if they would be completely random.
- More activity from computer teams is nice, VERY nice. Can you really promise this? I'd love to see it.
- What about injuries? will they be more frequent? actually I think you answered this already, but I couldn't believe it and blanked out. Are you SURE they are more frequent on the teams YOU control? If so, THANKYOUTHANKYUOTHANKYOUTHANKYUOTHANKYOU!!!Comment

Re: Questions for ASB Man
Excellent thread, ASB_man.
I realise this is low on your list of priorities, but do you have any thoughts on the Europe/UK release date? I ask because most years I've been told that release will be nearly simultaneous with the US version, but actual release dates in the UK have seemed to vary between May and July - not a life-or-death matter, but more than a little annoying for us UK baseball fanatics (and yes, there are a few). Do you have any idea when the UK release is planned for next year, and how likely it is to slip?
Be seeing you,

Re: Questions for ASB Man
ASB man, thanks for answering my questions to this point. Another one:
Are the hitting physics set up for a right handed batter for lefties and righties? IE- swining late with a lefty pulls the ball, and vice versa.
Will the game track longest homeruns during seasonal play? Or track longest homeruns per stadium?Comment

Re: Questions for ASB Man
ASB man, thanx for taking all our questions, I really love the game, I've already paid for 2005 in fact, I was wondering about if the minor leaguers will have stats this year and what if any changes are being made to the MLB draft. Maybe something like college players being more ready than high schoolers. Or maybe Japanese players which were in last years mlb draft on the game being really ready as well as being older. Last year it seemed to be quite random. By the way I loved how you guys included the colleges on the players, that was awesome.Comment

Re: Questions for ASB Man
ASBMan;
This game seems to be shaping up to be the game to beat in the upcoming season. Nice work!
Okay
Will there be full AAA, AA and A rosters again?
Will Spring Training(awesome addition by the way!) still be in there? AND...will you be able to play minor leaguers(even if it is only AAA players) in the games? That would be great to see who you want to call up when the season starts.
Will there be a September callup with roster expansion to 40 at the Major League level?
Thanks
M.K.
