    Re: Manage only Mode Thread

I've played two MO games. Neither of my starters got past the second inning. Peavy and Wells. It was awful.

Question. When going into the game you choose a difficulty level. Does this effect Manager Mode?

Has anyone tried not playing on MO, but maybe only controlling certain aspects of the game and kind of finding ways to manage (like HH2004)? It may be a pain at times, but I just wonder if this will give the right balance of walks, k's, hits, runs, etc without having to edit ratings which apparently mess with the injury ratings and also not have to have any kind of random or generated counts. I'm PS2 owner and I want to buy this cause HH2K4 rosters are tickin me off right now, but I'm just looking for any way to make this game a keeper.

Used SMART COUNT with D. Wells pitching. He had a LOT of 1-2 counts and hardly any 2-0 and no 3-0 counts. Made sense.
The pitch count was a little too high, but the game was exciting. I use Deago as my lefty out of the pen because I would never allow Eddie Oropesa on my team. Deago struck out the side with the bases loaded. Whoa!

I had a 5-1 lead, warmed up the wrong pitcher for the 9th, thinking it was the 8th. Szuminski loaded the bases before Hoffman was warm. Hoffman came in and got a pop up, shallow fly out and struck out the last batter on a 3-2 count. Game felt good.

Just played my first ever MOM game and it was a pretty crazy one. It was a Spring Training game in the first year of my expansion franchise vs. the Blue Jays. Miguel Bautista was pitching for the Jays and Sidney Ponson was pitching for me (Indiana Woodpeckers). I used Smart Count. The Jays built an early 4-0 lead. Bautista was pitching lights out, but got tired in the 6th. They brought in Valerio De Los Santos, and I batted around + 4 and scored 7 runs in the inning. New pitcher for the Woodpeckers in the top of the 7th and the Jays do the exact same thing to me. They go through 11 batters and take an 8-7 lead. I think I used 3 pitchers in that one inning. I ended up losing by that same score, but I didn't mind, cause it was a pretty good, if weird, game. Poor De Los Santos finished the game with a 999.00 ERA. (lol)

Sounds good. Have you done any of the player attribute tweaks?
