I'm still waiting on PS2 version.....

But in the past....in "Manage Mode"

    You set the lineup.
You can control select what pitch you want your Pitcher to use.(but not the location it's thrown)
Adjust infielders and out fielders alignment.
Do you want to pitch out or walk a batter.

Do you want to "Bunt", "Power Swing", "Make Contact" or "Take a Pitch"
You can select to try and steal a base.

Make in game moves concerning hitters, fielders and Pitchers.

You can also select if you want to do the actual hitting for certain batters or do the actual Pitching for your pitchers.

In the past..there has been problems with too low scoring games and sometimes a lack of Homeruns.

It sounds as though there has been some improvement to the game this year.

If it works as it's supposed to..this game has the best "Manage Mode" option of all of the Big Four Baseball Games.

Yes, you control everything. The CPU will not pitch to you unless you hit a button telling what you want the runners on base to do, for example, nothing, steal second, etc.

After that you select what you want your batter to do, power, contact, bunt, fake bunt, drag bunt, hit and run, take pitch.

It's really a lot of fun as you do control it all.

Also, if you don't like what the CPU is doing, or you want to switch a CPU player, simple go to CONTROLLER, pick the CPU team, make the change, go back to CONTROLLER and pick your team.

      Lots of choices.

                  Re: Manage only Mode Thread

Well, last night I had an interesting game. First of a 3 game series between my Hawaii Man-o-wars and the Phils. Neugelbauer(sp?) was my pitcher. Pitches a walk and a single, then up comes Thome and rips a homer. His stamina then drops like a brick. The gets rocked for 13 runs in the first inning, walking guys left and right. I couldn't warm up my releivers fast enough! By the time it was all over, the final score was 27-0! OUCH!

Phils pitcher had 10 K's, my pitchers ended up with 8. I'm using smart fenerated counts. I actually like the smart counts, as once my pitchers stamina dropped it was generating 3-0 and 3-1 counts, which of course forced him to start tossing meatballs. This only thing is, once they get hammered a few times, the stamina goes quick, and you need to get your pen up early.

I'm a few innings into my next game, and the score is 1-0 Phils, so this type of thing isn't a common occurance. But it does demonstrate the need to keep a balanced and rested pitching staff.

Anyone else have blowouts like this?

I've played two MO games. Neither of my starters got past the second inning. Peavy and Wells. It was awful.

Question. When going into the game you choose a difficulty level. Does this effect Manager Mode?
