I'm still having low scoring games.

What kind of scores are you guys getting in , lets say a ten game period.

Manage only Jim?
I have score ranging from a 1-0 game to 13-12 to 9-2. If there is one thing that I can definitely say if fixed from last year it's the low scoring games in manage only mode. Even in the 1-0 game, I think the hits were 10 and 8 or 9 and 8.

Jim....I have edited the following and am very pleased.
Outfielder range(-) and arm strength(-).
Pitcher stamina(+) and control(-).
Catcher arm strength(-)
and any baserunner with a speed in the D range I made into C- or C.
Great games.

thanks for the info Knight. Are you getting a decent # of HR's in manage only? How do you use the power-contact options when batting?

I'm going up to my buddies on Monday an he's a MO type. I need to get the game tweaked so that it will give him, a long time High Heater PC, reason to get a new game.

I was thinking about the pitch control lowering also. I brought in Deago from AAA to pitch some spring training games and his control was, well, suspect. I looked at his control and it was either a D or D-, so the tweaking continues.

Having to change player grades in order to improve the experience sounds like a pain in the *** to me. I started my 3 franchises with no generated pitch counts. It was ok but took a little long. I like the random pitch count now but wonder if the offense is strong enough. I plan to play a couple weeks into March for all 3 franchises and then see if I need to change. The 2-0 count sounds like a possible way to go. It is early yet but so far I feel like you can only score a run on a homer. The outfielders catch everything!!! But, it is too early to be certain.

Anyone out there through a month or so of the season yet? How is the offense? What pitch counts do you use?

Actually, when you change anything in the players ratings, it changes the players health.
Usually for the worse, in my experience.
This is not new, this problem existed last year as well, and it should really have been fixed.
And health is not something that can be changed in the player editor, which is even more sad than it not being fixed, is the fact that they don't allow us to edit it back to what it was.
It's not fun watching your star players go from A health to D- just because you altered one ability rating of theirs.

Once I realized that this was still in the game from last year, I dumped my franchise, and started over without changing any of the players.
I can live with the stats as they are, while using a pregenerated 2 ball, 0 strike count.
It's not perfect, but it's pretty good.
