      I didn't say I had.

ESPN's features are irrelevant to this discussion, straight-up. The discussion was about how ASB has changed this year and why those changes are significant - especially for people who are dismissing it based on their opinion of ASB two years ago.

Mentioning one of ESPN's features in that context is like saying "I ate a grape last night."

      Surely you see that.

Re: why is no one.. giving asb any respect???

I can see the point of the All-Star Baseball faithful. You think that theres too much unfettered hype for MVP Baseball 2004 this year, and that people are just dismissing ASB w/o giving it a chance. MVP has made bigger leaps and strides than any franchise this year...I don't really think that can be argued, but if anyone insists, I can come back and list the reasons how. Instead though, I would offer this to the ASB fans. You've got to realize that the pitching in your game is incredible unrealistic, being that it's way, way, way to fast. How the hell do you work a count? I think that's the biggest hang-up with the ASB franchise. The pitch speeds are far from realistic. I suppose the rumor is that there are adjustable pitch speeds this year. I'll rent it and give it a try. I don't think that's going to be enough to overcome MVP 2004 though.

This is exactly the type of person that I mean.

ASB has FIVE pitch speed settings this year. Last year's default is the second-fastest speed. It's not a rumor. It's been described in hands-on previews, shown in movies, and been detailed by the game's producer on this very board.

But if you don't have any interest in the game and you hadn't read the previews, you wouldn't know that. That situation is the No. 1 reason why there's like a million people viewing the MVP board right now and there's maybe five here.

It's just very frustrating when you see people dismissing ASB based on things that have long since been fixed. I don't care what game someone else buys... but the overall ignorance of the board these days is frustrating.

There were two pitch speeds last year... one of which was hardly too fast.

I guess that's just an example of more ASB analysis two or three years out-of-date.

                                ^^

Hahaha, nicely done cub. I think you just scared him away from these boards. He probably doesn't even wanna buy ASB now because he doesn't wanna face you online.
