First of all, you don't have a clue what you are talking about. I do my research on all of the games. I've fought this same battle the last few years in regards to ESPN NFL Football vs. Madden. I know exactly what your beef is. There's only problem with your logic. Your game (ASB) is NOT appealing. Can you understand that or would you rather I spell it out for you? You assume that on a site like this (where there are pretty much only HARDCORE sports gaming fanatics)that people don't do their research and learn about other games. Of course, why else would very few people be interested in ASB? Could it just be that the game is tired, and not very interesting??? Nah, could'nt be that. Everyone is just stupid and biased against Acclaim and ASB. Please.

You make one specific complaint in your earlier post, and it was out-of-date, helping prove the point others are making that a lot of critics are dismissing ASB because of ASB 2003 (or earlier).

Now you write something with this attitude?

      I'm not fighting any battles.

      I have nothing against you.

      ASB isn't "my" game.

I didn't say you or anyone else was "stupid," or that they would be more interested in ASB if they were "smart."

I said people don't know what the game is offering, don't care enough to find out, and are spreading misinformation based on older versions of ASB from years ago and assuming it's still basically the same.

Ignorance is lack of information. That's quite different from stupidity.

I'm not trying to attack you or anyone else. I'm just trying to explain the situation.

Say, for instance... you came on this board and everyone was under the impression that MVP doesn't have any real major league teams or players. Then you said it does and they started flaming you for "defending" it.

That's been the atmosphere on the boards lately. It's not just ignorance... it's aggressive, violent defense of ignorance. People don't want to know.

Again, I'm not talking specifically about you here Shamrock.

Again, I will repeat for the last time. It has nothing to do with previous versions. The upcoming version has no appeal for me. So please stop with the condesending attitude that ASB is getting an unfair shake. If you don't want 'your'game to take criticism, then don't bring it onto another games forum.

                        Alright, then.

However, I see what you're saying, because I'm the same on the ESPN boards... defending that the game has gone through many changes, preferrably in the hitting. Then everyone just tells me to "Go back to your ESPN game", and it's not "mine".

Anyways, I guess we can say which games we want to diss or praise, because then there would be no reasons for media if customers didn't want to make early decisions for which games they want and don't want. Although you and I know that ASB is better than the videos we've seen, they still base it on the videos, that's it... they don't care about final product, because they are already sold to overhyped MVP.

I don't like to argue, it's a waste of time for me, but some of those guys that got sold to MVP early didn't even SEE the other boards yet.

Actually, I was doubting some of the things about the game myself until I saw that Game Informer vid. It really cleared up a lot of things I was worried about - pitch locations, presentation, lighting, and so on. The three things it always had on all the other games (realistic art style, depth, and HR collision detection) were the most important to me from the beginning, but it's nice to know some of the other concerns have been addressed.

I wouldn't even be here if the games were already out. I just like discussing them to kill time til they get here.

It's just been really hostile and crazy here lately, with everyone taking sides on games. I mean, opinions are great. I love hearing them. Except when they're uninformed, boisterous, and closed-minded. Then they kinda suck.

Although you and I know that ASB is better than the videos we've seen, they still base it on the videos, that's it... they don't care about final product, because they are already sold to overhyped MVP.

I don't like to argue, it's a waste of time for me, but some of those guys that got sold to MVP early didn't even SEE the other boards yet.
