      Dreamcast did sell, just not enough to save the sinking ship that was Sega. Blame it on the sega cd/32x/saturn debacle.

            Sega's previous hardware flop was a big factor in it. But there were others.

            1. No EA support

            2. Everyone was "waiting on the PS2" and believing it would be some supercomputer

            3. Many people believed the Dreamcast would quickly die. It turned out to be a self-fulfilling prophecy

            In the end, the quality of the Dreamcast and its games had very little to do with its death. It was a strong statement about the power of marketing and public perception.
