I think I see what you're saying, but I think you're missing what I am saying in a sense. I don't preload a throw to third at all unless I am sure the runner is too far to turn around and head back to second. My first instinct on any Baseball game is to get the ball to the second baseman. He's the closest available person to catch the ball from the outfield if I'm trying to hold a runner. If the runner is less than halfway to third I will always throw into second base. If the runner is still stupid enough to try to run to third then I can throw the ball from second to third and make a play.

I think our disconnect here is that I don't run into the situation in the outfield you are talking about because I very rarely hit the corner basemen from the cutoff man. So I don't see the same issue you do.

Ok... I see what you mean now.

I'm still standing pat with my point, tho. You would still be able to play your way if it's implemented. Ya know? It would just open up more "involvement" for the user...

I get your point to, and it's hard to dispute that.

And all things considered, yes if the option was there I would use it. But I don't discount the game because it doesn't have it. It doesn't have any affect on my enjoyment of the game. Now if next year everyone BUT a certain game has something like that, then that will change.
