Very depressed over no All Star Baseball and shrinking selection

I figure there's been threads on this before, but reading about the upcoming games has gotten me to wishing ASB was gonna have another go at the baseball crown this year. I didn't like everything about ASB, but it was a nice alternative to the others. It had fantastic stadiums and the best commentary.

Losing High Heat was horrible, and now ASB is gone with MVP probably going on hiatus for quite some time. We went from 5 solid choices to 2 next year.

Here's hoping Microsoft brings back High Heat.

While I won't miss, ASB, I thought it was a huge steaming pile, I totally agree with you. Competition, and a nice variety of choices is never bad. It's shame that the sports game market seems to be losing games left and right.

Bringing back HH would be awesome, I won't miss ASB much Although I did repurchase 2005, since it would be the last copy. I like competition too, but at least Take2 left the door open for others.

i don't think take2 had a choice. MLB still has 4 years left on the contract. Either way i don't like this exclusive thing. Its not fair to the gamers.

I'll miss ASB even though I did'nt have last years version. It was one of those sports games that had the potential to be something special each year but each year left a sour taste in your mouth by way of bugs.

That's what I was talking about, we'll never get to see ASB's potential. It had lots of buggy, goofy problems, but it also did a lot right. I loved all the fantasy stadiums.

Wow. I didn't even realize they weren't making it.

I'll never forget the way I felt when I put in the game two years ago and the theme from The Natural was playing. Best background music, ever.
Quit making your stupid YouTube videos and start playing the game.

I got sucked into the ASB hype last season from the ASB board as well as the producers answering questions here.

The game has a lot of nice extras but I thought the game had major flaws. I couldn't get past the horrible controls in the game. I often had no clue what I was doing on the basepaths even after reading the manual twice. I also had trouble bunting. Roster management was seriously lacking. Custom Soundstracks was very buggy. It's a shame because the game had expansion mode with fantasy/future stadiums. I also enjoyed the stadium tours. And as far as I know it's the only baseball game to have the Rule 5 draft and salary arbitration.
