Re: Official PS2/Xbox Bugs, Glitches Thread
has anyone noticed that pitching fatigue for the AI goes extremely fast? I played 3 games so far and the opposing pitcher did not get out of the 5th inning. I used the sliders and put pitching fatigue down to zero. The opposing pitcher still did not get out of the 5th inning. This can be a game killer for me. Anyone else notice this? -
Re: Official PS2/Xbox Bugs, Glitches Thread
on the Xbox version, I am liking it, however I've noticed SEVERAL bugs... on any kind of play where the batter is approaching first base..whether it be a fly out or a ground out actually to first, he dives head first EVERYTIME. Also, about 60% of the time, the runner going to first loses his helmet (maybe its just when you turbo, might have to double check)....I also had hit a homer ,..it clearly sailed over the fence and then magically flew back in and landed in the middle of center field, wouldn't let me pick the ball up until the other guy had crossed the plate for a inside the park homerun...i've seen a few more, but I'll have to play more to see which are anamolies and which are for real.Comment

Slides are controlled with the right stick, right? Make sure it's centered (rotate it a few times, and click it). That might be causing your runners to slide into first like that. If it's the CPU doing that...well, let's not go there.Comment

How the world can they let a bug like this in there for so long?
I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it's fixed in the 360 version.Comment

Re: Official PS2/Xbox Bugs, Glitches Thread
In my first game I threw about 6 wild pitches, some of which may have been my fault, not understanding the pitching but the computer also threw about three. However, the truly weird glitch occurred with two out in the top of the ninth. I was the Reds (home team) playing the Padres (away team)0 and was leading 5-4 with a runner on second. In threw another one of those stupid wild pitches so the runner on second broke for third and would have made it easily as the ball went all the way to the backstop. But then I notice that he is walking, not running, walking back to 2nd base. I run up to him with my catcher who tags him out to end the game and then continues to run into centerfield aka Bo Jackson scoring a touchdown and running on into the locker room several years ago on Monday Night Football. Very strange.
I've only played one game, so I'm going to reserve judgement, but thus far I'm glad I only rented and haven't bought.Comment

Re: Official PS2/Xbox Bugs, Glitches Thread
maybe its a bad disk....xbox version..first game..alot of weird stuff....i hit the wall so my guy is rounding first going to second and all of a sudden the pitcher has the ball and ready to pitch..im at second. Another inning and the comp throws a wild one to the third basemen....i take second..the third basemen goes after the ball..comes back to third without the ball..goes back and get it..i get 2 bases.
Now a different game..no score bottom of third...comp scores on a wild pitch from me...now i look up..score is tied 1-1...lol...i never scored! i shut it off...Comment

Posted by ‘ennepetal’ over at the 2K forum. Looks like the same roster glitches that were in 2K5, are still in 2K6:
*
- I poked around with the GM mode. Played about a month… one day it put Carlos Pena at SS (the man will NEVER get a start at SS in real life, ever).
- On another day, the box score listed only eight offensive players, missing a 3B altogether. The stats for the individual eight players added up to the correct totals at the bottom of the box, so it's not as if it were just somehow not visible.
- THEN, I sent a reliever to AAA and recalled another. Upon completion of the transaction, I was told that Detroit had a “bad rotation” and asked whether I would allow the CPU to fix. Thinking the computer was just mistaken, I allowed it. I went to check the rotation and it had been butchered. It took out two of my starters and replaced them with short relief types. Luckily, I thought to look at my batting line-ups. Sure enough, they'd been completely altered.Comment

I don't know how 2K can let significant things like that slip through.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club
