Only time I could play a entire game is to remove my HD before I boot the 360 up. Sucks.

Can somebody tell me if an Action Replay would work to back up game saves. I need to buy one of those things anyway. I'd reformat after I get one.

That should definately work. Well not action replay since that was for the xbox but whatever the the 360 transfer kit is called should do the trick for you. After you reformat, just transfer the files back on to your 360.

Does anyone know if they have those at EB yet?

I have to do the same thing,its cool though,not really a hassle, but it shouldn't be neccessary. But I can be patient we are still in the first cycle of games on the 360.

Are you guys saving to a memory card or are you putting the HD back on after you finish a game? I've head that wasn't a good idea but was just wondering.

I am able to play the game fine as long as I don't have the hard drive connected. I can save my VIP, settings, etc. to the MU and everything works with no freezes. I didn't even have to reformat.

But once I try to play with the hard drive connected it freezes within 2 innings, even if I am only using saves from the MU.

After the reformat, I've played 8 or so games with zero freezes and I've been able to save a profile, edit rosters, and do most everything else that you are able to do without a freeze.

BK is freezing up as well, but me and him played online and he could play online but not offline due to freezing. I think that proves that it has to do with the replays, cutscenes, etc, and nothing to do with a profile. Specifically, I think it has to do with replays and cutscenes at the end of an inning or highlights in the middle of an inning. The whole replay system that 2k has in place needs to be reworked since it was screwed up in College hoops and this. Has anyone frozen up in the middle of an inning or just at the end of an inning?

To add on to what Dave said, I turned off just the cutscenes for an offline game after Dave and I got through a full online game (which Dave won, punk). Before I turned off the cutscenes, I had been freezing in the first inning. After I turned off the cutscenes, I made it through four innings. The game froze just as the players were starting to walk off the field after the third out. This is where the game had been freezing for me before I turned off cutscenes, but in the first instead of the fourth. It makes me think that the game was trying to show a replay, and froze because of it. I'm going to turn off basically ALL of the bells and whistles this afternoon and see what happens. I just can't justify spending $40 on a memory unit just to play one game, since I have no real need for an MU.

well the freeze finally got me!! i played around 20 games on default settings etc. had default all-star sets saved and my vip (not same as my gt) i finally got in depth and changed the sliders around and i got the freeze 2 times in a row. i had a guy throw out at first, he turned to walk or run back to the dugout and it froze. same exact sceene each time!!

Just for curiosity's sake, has anyone had a freeze at any point in the game OTHER than at the end of an inning? If not, it makes me wonder if some replay is being cued up to play that's not really there and that's what's causing the freeze. It might be a file that shows up on the core system as well and neither system (core nor premium) is able to handle it.

Yep. It's only froze on me 2 times and both were not during the game.

First time was on the main menu when I was responding to a message on XBL.

Second time was right after I selected START and it began to load my VIP, settings etc.... Right before it displays the main menu.

Yep. I have. I've had it freeze in the first inning after my outfielder catches a fly ball. It will hit his glove....and freeze.

I've also had a freeze while pitching. The pitcher throws the ball, it hits the catchers glove and boom...freeze. Game over.

When I first got the game I got through a game with no problems. After turning it off and playing again the next day, I couldnt get through the 4th inning. The next time I tried to play after turning off the console I couldnt get through the first inning. So, I cant even go through 6 outs at this point. Too bad, I like this game.

I'm hoping for a recall, a fix, or some sort of solution in the very near future. 2k is quickly becoming infamous for these types of issues. After what happened with NHL2k and College Hoops2k wouldnt you think they'd do EVERYTHING HUMANLY POSSIBLE to ensure that this game came out and worked perfectly?

Just an update which is laughable and where 2K/KUSH loses all credibility with me is that they are now blaming Microsoft for the game freezes....real nice 2K way to go. If MLB2K6 were the only game you made that didn't suffer from game freezes then I would give you a pass, but I can't.
