He did? I thought he switched to 2k while Live 07 was still in production.

Jeter's throw was a two-finger grip. Maybe he gets his own.

From a guy who watches practically every Yankee game (as Im sure there are plenty of us here who do LOL).

Jeter's swing was definitely not accurate the whole way through, in fact it looked a little like ARods swing during the follow through. The setup though was spot on. What I did like though was Matsui's swing at the end of the trailer, he has a quick tourque like movement with his upper half and an extremely low step and it seemed to show there almost perfectly (at least the upper half, the lower was obscured by the camera angle).
The number placement on the jersey though......ehhhhhhhh. Waaaaaay to low and it was especially noticeable on Matsui.

The fielding also looked pretty good, especially Jeters step into the throw from short almost picture perfect, but ill withold any major excitement especially regarding the fielding until i see some pure gameplay video which will probably start popping up at the beginning of Feb.

Liked the way A.J. caught the breaking ball early in the video.

Heres hoping things will be different this year.

You're right- that follow through is 100% A-Rod: 1 handed release, smooth follow through. I'm sure it will be changed- I'd bet that trailer is from an earlier build. It should be fixed atleast.

I thought that A-Rod's follow-through finishes upward and he pauses for a second before he drops the bat as opposed to following-through and placing it down. He stays pretty frontward with his swing too.

Its not Arods swing totally, cause its defintely from Jeters set up, but the smoothness through it. Plus Arod ends in a "pose", keeps the bat through the follow through and holds it there with one hand on the bat for a sec or 2. Yes the more i look at it the more it looks like Arods swing only quicker, if it was more smooth, slowed down a touch, and he would hold the bat back after the foul ball and keep it there in the position it is in before he puts the bat down, it is nearly identical.

Damn guys you have too much time on your hands! lmao. It is not going to be perfect it is a video game. Also batters change their swing all the time. Especailly when they go into slumps. Even the great Jeter! lol

One thing Pierre doesn't do is get on base, though. Major oversight.
Of course, if Dawson gets hot, and

Uh oh... maybe I shouldn't speak, because saying that I have too much time on my hands would surely be an understatement. But basically, I could mimic probably any veteran baseball player's pre-pitch nuances, stance, stride, swing, and follow-through. If I see something even remotely off, I normally want to chime in and say something, but I can't without sounding too nitpicky.

As for players in slumps, they normally don't change their swing. Perhaps they'll change their approach, but normally their swing will stay the same. At least, from what I've seen. Their aggressiveness may vary as well.
