Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
It has, but it's still early. My main point was that there are ardent 2K supporters and ardent Show supporters that often cause problems. I don't want to see that happen this year.Comment

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
What we need are the actual representations of these guys. They are much better on Sunday Night Baseball (well, Joe isn't). So what we need is for 2K to write better scripts, to pay them more to be more energetic, or we may have to fire them and use Terry McGovern and Jay Styne.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
I don't care if he or anyone else is excited for the game, I've said a couple times I hope it's good, if it is, I'll buy it. I'll probably end up buying it either way for a baseball fix. It being good is only a bonus.Comment

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
Yeah I can care less who's is better. If the show is better by a lot. I will probably go out and by a PS3, but if it not and the 2k is solid I will just stick with that. My days of having two systems are over lol.Comment

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
Where did I say it looked bad? I made one comment with the first post that the swing animation looked off to me, that was it. I wasn't bashing every post of being positive.

How about Jeanne Zalasko giving play by play in a low cut blouse? (you'll have to forgive me, I'm old and married so some other furleins wet the appetite).Things are looking up for sports gaming!Comment

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
I must say, Jeanne Zelasko and Steve Physioc were rather incredible with pre-game introductions on MLB 2K6. They went rather unnoticed, I suppose. I never heard a peep about them besides the first time we heard them during that Presentation BLT last year. I hope they return.Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
LOL, after viewing Blzer's video 567 times, I agree. I don't think they look as good as the other baseball games, but it's a step. Baby steps is what 2K should be doing, and hopefully they are. The Great Wall of China wasn't built in a day.Comment

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
I like most of the video so far. I didn't even touch 2k6, cause I was playing MVP on my computer.
Here are 2 things I found, I dont think they were mentioned yet.
Where does Jeters bat go??? It shows him drop it, then one frame later it disappears.
Bases are loaded and the runner on third is more then half way down the line on a fly ball? If they catch it while he tags he will always score and if it is dropped he would score too. No reason not to be tagging up.

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
The last shot of Matsui and the runner on third I thought was a sure homerun.
But, I guess the question is legit because the runner stops midway down third. Surely, he wouldn't do that if he knew the ball was definitely gone, right?
I don't know how to take it then. We'll have to check it out on a sac fly.
(Though looking at the image again, it looks to me like the runner is leaning toward third base as if to head back and tag up just in case. That's still bad base running, but it isn't all that bad if the player can get back in time)."It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

Re: 2K7 preview and trailer
Just at a first impression, this game looks OK.
Players still look mechanical. The weird recycled animations have to GO! Also, I hope they iron out all the roster gliches they've had in previous years. Some 2K games on the surface are great but it's the "crap" details (rosters, stats, etc.) during a legacy or season that ruin it for me.Last edited by RunN1st; 01-05-2007, 05:23 PM."The older I get, the faster I was!"
