My thing is the following:
It is VERY RARE that you can tell a ball is gone when it leaves the bat. Perhaps it's because Ive grown up watching Dodger games and the balls just die there, Im not sure. But if I had a penny for every fan who yelled on a regular fly ball Id be a millionare.
All that being said, when is the last time in a major league game a cutscene went to the player WHILE THE BALL WAS STILL IN THE AIR??? NEVER! Thats right, never. It always goes on the ball. Always. Or tries to (i.e Bonds off Percival)!!
So if WSB goes to cutscenes on the ball then thats fine. Im just worried about cut scenes showing the player, or a cut scene where you are the ball, or showing a ball getting hit from three different angles during a live game you are playing. That stuff is silly and does not belong in a simulation at all.
That being said:
1. Will ASB this year have cut scenes? And if it does will it be to the ball or other camera angles like Triple Play
2. I think Im going to stay with WSB and MVP. MVP will have no cut scenes at all and they have what looks like the best batter/pitcher interface ive ever seen. This is the meat of the game. A greta batter/pitcher interface is 80% of the game right there.
