Gameplay was good last year so there is no reason to think that it should be better this year

Actually playing in a game has nothing to do with their eligibilty to be included in video games, contrary to what the ASB producer said.

While playing in their first game does start the clock ticking on their "service time" (for contracts and things), as long as they are on a major league roster they are fair game to be included in games.

That will be sweet if we see different stances/styles out of the umps behind home plate, rather than always being in a crouched position. Wonder if they'll stand during the stretch sometimes, like the ump in this pic, and then get down as the pitcher is delivering. Maybe next year they'll mo-cap different umps for a nice variety.

I know they don't offer a manage-only mode in this game, but can you simulate it by having the CPU control one or more players on your team? I know you can do this on ASB.
