While playing in their first game does start the clock ticking on their "service time" (for contracts and things), as long as they are on a major league roster they are fair game to be included in games.

That will be sweet if we see different stances/styles out of the umps behind home plate, rather than always being in a crouched position. Wonder if they'll stand during the stretch sometimes, like the ump in this pic, and then get down as the pitcher is delivering. Maybe next year they'll mo-cap different umps for a nice variety.

I know they don't offer a manage-only mode in this game, but can you simulate it by having the CPU control one or more players on your team? I know you can do this on ASB.
