It's funny this pattern runs w/every major sports release. Company 1 releases information, and people call for Company 2 to follow suit, or they're going w/Company 1. We collectively love being catered to and hyped. I remember people saying the same thing when the NBA Live people were putting out dev blogs, quick movies and screens, and people were singing their praises because 2K wasn't saying much about 2K9. Despite the fact Live completely sucked the year before. Some people tried to bury The Show last year when they decided to delay it's release. Now this. Seems like unnecessary drama. We always crave information, but when it comes it's never going to be enough. Did 2K even put out any info early last year? From what I remember, the guy that took the CES movies put out more substantive info than 2K themselves did.

I did it last year. It was well worth it. The show plays a much much better baseball game

Same here and i never regreted it. I love baseball and i can't wait for both baseball games. I think 2k8 will be a good baseball game if not very very good

I PERSONALLY think that 360 ONLY users (myself included) are the MOST upset, because they want to feel OK about getting ONLY MLB 2k8.

Thats why theres drama. it s a "hey look what we got that you don't" thing.

PS3 users are getting the best of both worlds because they HAVE a choice between both while 360 users do not.

heck i'm even jealous as i bet pro yakuu Spirits 5 comes out as well this year...

See, there's a difference. If it was 2K putting out stuff right now, I don't think there would be as much worry like this from the people looking for stuff from The Show. It is already a much more promising game, and we can expect very solid gameplay from them year-in and year-out. For 2K, we know they are essentially starting over, and this is part two of three to complete their goal that they're aiming for. In KushGamer's words, they are playing second-fiddle to The Show. NBA 2K, on the other hand, is not second-fiddle to NBA Live.

We always crave information, but when it comes it's never going to be enough.

I do agree, though I have seen times where we have been thankful for being spoiled.

They put out a teaser trailer and sent a few screenshots to Gamespot. Nothing gameplay-wise came before CES, though. I agree that 2K is very lazy overall and that we get much more stuff from the betas handed out to IGN and Gamespot, but I suppose that's expected. However, I think they should tease us beforehand like they have every year in the past, even if it means one screenshot of Reyes.

I know one thing for sure, though... I can't wait to see POTD's of these two games this year! This race seriously may be neck-and-neck, especially when looking at both PS3 versions.

I do love the my 360(all 4 of 'em... may they r.i.p.)but I'm looking to start watching movies in HD, and since it looks like blu ray is gonna win the hd battle the ps3 is looking more and more attractive by the day... while the 360 keeps leaving my hangin.

Are you serious? Is 2K going to be the publisher for US distribution? I'm in love with the game's batting interface after watching videos of actual gameplay and by playing MLB Power Pro which incorporates almost the same batting mechanics.

I'm not in this boat of people who is going to "bury" the company who doesn't put out media, and praise the one who does... I just want something... A "real" interview w/ some in-depth dialogue of specific features/additions. I mean it's obviously not hard to do since The Show's people are doing it. The game is practically done right...Why not release some info? 2K's lack of info isn't going to make me buy a PS3 and get The Show, but dammit I would like some news. It's set to be released on March 4th according to IGN, and we have one crappy interview to read and that's it.

I guess if you continue to have issues with the 360 i would say go for it. The show is a great game but like one poster said, im not going to buy a system for just one game. If the PS3 starts releasing games to my liking then ill pick one up. Plus I heard that Sony is planning another price cut for the 40gb model to $299 sometime this year. When that happens i might pick one up. BUt as it stands now, im sticking to the 360 and am confident that Brinkman will release a great game this year.
