I think this is overboard if you ask me. For anyone to say that you're not a "true Mets fan" because you would be upset because a crane is missing is an insult to Met fans.

I do not think it's going overboard to be disappointed that 2K8 lacks this little detail. Reading many of the posts on this forum, that's what a lot of people here are all about. The little things like player-specific chants and appropriate crowd reaction, etc. So in that case, it's totally valid to want something like construction in the background.

As I've stated before, I would personally have loved it had they included the Cifi Field construction in the background like in The Show, as it really gives you the sense that they paid attention to the little details. But when it comes down to it, that's all it really is: a little detail. Will I pick one game simply because they included this small little detail alone? Of course not. I'm still looking forward to 2K8 and I hope that the new pitching and batting interfaces will make for a better game, which in the end is what's most important.

2k makes up for not having Citi field by having a variety of authentic minor league parks. Most people that are not Mets fans would probably take many authentic Minor league parks rather then Citi field.

ok knight.. This is a response I gave because everytime I come to the 2k forums all I see is complaints from the same dudes. Is it necesary to post the same thing every day?? I've even stop posting here for a while because these 2k forums have become a joke. Every thread has the" well I'm glad I got a ps3" or I'm glad I've mad re switch etc. Let's get this strait I'm very impressed with what the show has done this year. I played the demo and the game rocks!!! My problem is that it seems dudes get a kick from bashing this game. I'm hoping this game turns out good. To the op I apologize for coming of the wrong way.

I agree with whoever said leaving the Nats stadium out would be a bigger omission than Citi Field, considering the Nats, well, play in their new stadium now.

I wonder if old baseball games had GABP in the background when the Reds still played at Cinergy Field.

Back on to topic who really cares if there is a half complete staduim in the background. Are balls going to hit it. Is it going to affect they gameplay in anyway. Just imagine how I feel with it raining in a dome during my franchise and you guys are whinning of a piddly *** detail like that. As for the show comment with the cranes. Woopie do! The Show is all sizzle and no steak.

I agree that the background stuff is unnecessary, though it does add a nice touch. My concern is if they spent anytime getting the stadiums we'll actually be playing games in correct...lol. On a side note (as I saw an ASB remark earlier) I wish todays games would take a page out of ASB's playbook and include September call-ups, rule-5 draft, an expansion mode, and concept/future stadiums (ASB had some that teams could actually get a few years into a franchise), etc. That series had some really good features. The gameplay could be painful at times, but the concepts were excellent.
