? The Yankees are building a new stadium too and I'm sure if there are stadium fly-bys you'd see the stadium construction.

2k happens to have minor stadium fly-bys and I don't care that I won't see the new Yankee stadium in the distance.

But I'm not trying to argue with you. I understand that you'd like that atmosphere of feeling like you're actually in 2008.

I just don't care for it.

      I'm an enormous Mets fan.

      I could care less.

As long as I can have Reyes, Wright, Johah - I'm happy.

You're right. As long as the person is respectful about it then complaints are necessary. Otherwise, we get no improvements.

I think the reason most people are jumping on complaints is because these threads have been packed with complaints about how the game plays from people that don't want to at least give the game some credit.

I'm not saying people shouldn't hate the game. If you don't like it, that's cool. You don't have to like what I like. But, when people come in and just complain, insult, and belittle the game time after time again without ever actually applauding the positives the way they do for The Show, that's when things get tiring and annoying.

I like the Show. I think it's great but I'm sure you (well not you because I think you've actually been one of the cooler people here, though it seems some people disagree. Forget them.) would be tired of me if all I did was talk about the short-arm syndrome after every screenshot.

Oh, snap, the lighting is amazing. The stadium looks great. Love the detail on the uniform.

DudleyDoWright was respectful, so what's the beef?

The reason there is nobody correcting them, is because they ALL HAVE A DEMO to play and see for themselves.

NONE of us have yet to play 2K8, and when we all do, there will be things just like on the The Show boards.

There have been plenty of people correcting things over there before the demo came out. And the same responses here... "wait for the demo".

But once again, this thread has to turn into a Show vs 2K8.

Not to mention, not many 2K8 guys run over there and nitpick'ed at The Show before a demo came out, much like The Show fans have been doing over here, over and over the past week or so. The mods have the locked threads here to prove it.

This I think is true. But I also think we could credit at least some of that to more people liking The Show and already knowing it'll be good (because we know it will be) and not knowing what to think of 2k8 because it's still only trying to improve.

But, I do think there are some people that visit these boards to insult 2k because they think it's fun to do it. Oh well.

                Yankee...not the same...not even remotely.
It's very prevalent in the Shea OF....it's all you can see when you're looking out there right now! If you're sitting in Yankee stadium right now...you'd have no idea that they were building the new stadium at all.
Like I said....I've heard people complain about all sorts of stadium omissions and if you're a Met fan...this would be the ultimate omission IMO.
Does it effect the game? Nope...not one bit.
But if you say it would be worse to have it in there and never change (even in OMG 2012!)....than not in there at all.....you're not fooling me...you're just fooling yourself.

Hmm, I like you so I won't jump on the fooling yourself comment because I know you don't really believe that. Now if you were some crazy noob, we'd be brawling.

Seriously, though, it's not exactly the same. I get that. And like I said, I understand. But, I personally don't think it's a big deal. I'm more interested in what's going on IN the stadium...not outside.

What examples do you have of 2K not updating their stadiums in some time? Brinkman himself even said last year they redid almost all the stadiums from 2K6 to 2K7.

I can see why this Citi situation would bother someone, especially a Mets fan, if this was going to be more than a one-year situation. But come on. This is only a 1-year deal, and they'll be in the new ballpark next year. Having a construction site beyond the walls is a cool touch by the Show, but it's hardly a reason to complain about 2K and making blanket statements that they don't update their stadiums.

Many people here have pointed out a number of examples of stadium details things that were changed in the real stadiums two years ago, but haven't been changed in 2K's version. It's pretty much a given that 2K's stadiums are out of date.

Kush did mention that they did work on Yankee Stadium, and the right field porch, so shots can actually go there now.

Now whether this translates to all stadiums getting fine tuned, or just that Kush is a Yankee fan thus they just get the love, remains to be seen when the final build comes out.

                              i will say this though

last year in early screens of fenway, they still had that glassed in .406 club (which was removed right after the season)

when the game shipped, they actually had fenway updated....impressive for me

I'll be honest with you....it wouldn't kill me if it wasn't there, but I'm just saying that a lot of people have been very vocal about the littlest things as far as stadiums, arenas...SOCKS for Christ's sake...so the guy posts he's disappointed that a half a billion.....10 ACRE big stadium, highly visible in the background of a current MLB stadium is not in the game...and he gets dismissed like they forgot to put the bullpen phone in the dugout.
                                C'mon....let's be fair.
You guys are drooling that there are real minor league stadiums in the game(rightly so)....but they guy wants a real looking MLB stadium(even for one season) and it's...."ahh...so what"
                                I don't know....I guess I'm wrong...
