I dont understand how people who having nothing to offer to a board but to call someone a troll or a fanboy can consider themselves anything more than a troll or a fanboy. I have actually contributed to the discussion...what have you done. What is your last post other than trolling. Think about it.

there is a difference in the forums because there are mods here and this board is respected because devs come here. I respect this board so I wont flame you...if this were 2K you would be feeling stupid after my post

I appreciate the lesser tone you are displaying here. If it weren't for the hundreds of posts on the other forum of you calling everyone idiots for liking 2k etc I would be much more understanding.
It goes to the same question I have asked over there. If you have no intention of buying/playing 2k8 and every thread turns into your personal Show crusade I just don't see what the point is. We are all aware of the show and I hope for those of you who plan to buy it enjoy it.

Here is the thing...the game that mixes swing stick with aiming will be the best game ever imo.

You swing the right analog stick in the direction of the pitch but only 3 locations. Up and to the left for something inside (to righty batter) straight back up for something over the middle and up and to the right for something outside (to a righty batter)

nope...MVP is influence hit type so you arent aiming the bat to the ball. But you are aiming where you want the ball to go after it leaves the bat.

So if you are pushin up....no matter where the ball is thrown you are going to hit it in the air

read the above thread about Johnny Neumonic, it will explain my motivations. but to summarize...i am a critic of baseball games...and believe it or not I am actually a 2K...so I am a bit upset that the game has degraded into what it has become.

In MVP if you push the right analog stick (swing stick) up and to the right the batter will swing in that direction and you will have a better chance of making good contact if you are good with your timing. If you swing up and to the right with a righty on an inside pitch you will go into a bad swing animation. It's been a while since I played it but that's at least how I thought it went down.

And what has it become?? If you are speaking of 2k7 then fine but if you are speaking of 2k8 just based on what you are reading about the game and the features and how the hitting system is then that's not really fair. Wait until you play it to see.

If you aren't talking about gameplay then fine. If some things you wanted in the game aren't there or whatever then you can judge it before it comes out but you really can't judge a game on gameplay without even playing it (by just reading the features and how the hitting system is going to work, etc etc)
