Only knock I'll say for either game is that the Show's version of Albert Pujols looks anorexicComment

Yes, the models look crooked ( shoulders) to me when looking from the behind the pitcher . They did say the graphics took a hit to improve the gameplay. The player models look better to me in 2k7 Imo. Look at Jimenez in the vetzballin video.Comment

Re: An Interesting Head to Head Video of 2K8 vs The Show
WOW!....I couldnt have said it better myself. One of the biggest reasons I loved the Show over the years is how the ariel fielding camera would smoothly transition and pan back from the Batter/Pitcher interface to result in a very fluid and uniform gaming experience.
There was no sharp or choppy transistions...or those ridiculously disorienting cinematic camera angles from all over the field, making the game feel very dysfunct.
Lets hope they nail it this yearSteam: BahnzoComment

Re: An Interesting Head to Head Video of 2K8 vs The Show
there is no way you can put these games side to side and say that 2K8 looks worse than the SHOW. am I the only rational/sane person posting on here?
THE SHOW's players don't even look like real human beings. The animations are very good on there, but their swings don't look real..every swing is the exact same, the reactions to how the ball jumps off the bat are different, but the swings are the same.
i really hope for my 60 dollars sake that 2k8 is good this year in hi defBrand New Tomba Slider sets ready for Next Gen Versions of NBA,Madden and Fifa Stay Tuned...Comment

As well - and again you can see and hear this when pausing - the crack of the bat isn't actually audible until the game has fully switched to the fielding cam and the ball is already well in play. In one instance where I paused the game like this one one particular play, the ball was already past the pitcher and heading towards the secondbaseman when the crack of the bat was finally audible.Comment

Re: An Interesting Head to Head Video of 2K8 vs The Show
It's like watching the lineup announcements at a NBA game with the lights out and graphics all over the court then changing the channel to watch a guy shoot freethrows.
Compare The Show video at the 3:09 mark with the 2k8 video immediately following at 3:58. The show is no better without the music in the background IMO. One thing that I noticed in The Show videos was the absence of the organ. Call me old school, but baseball just isn't baseball without the sound of the organ.Last edited by blackngoldfan; 03-02-2008, 08:39 PM.Comment

Just go look at the glitches/bugs threads in the Show forum before you praise it based on this head to head
There are some pretty inexcusable bugs such as Giambi and Lowell being base stealers.Comment

To be fair a lot of the post are discussion about GLITCHES. Not all the so-called GLITCHES have been 100% confirmedComment

Re: An Interesting Head to Head Video of 2K8 vs The Show
I think that both the games look great, and if I had a PS3 I would buy both. I do think that the controls of 2k8 will have the player feeling much more involved. I also prefer the player models of 2k8. I like the cloth animations better and I also think they look like they have more weight. The Show player models seem too skinny to me, and the strike zone looks too big. At the end of the day, I just want a good game of baseball. I hope I can get one this year.Comment
