just a question, who cares? honestly, why did you even have to respond? i guess it's just out of the question that anyone can like the game. he even mentioned that the game will be a lot better after the patch, it's not like he's saying it's perfect, he likes some stuff about the game and posted it, get over it.

i dont dislikethe game i play it as well. i find it odd how he says the cutscenes are fantastic and the cool base uniforms look awsome in the cutscenes, while he is entiled to his opinion, i too am entitled to my opinion and that isnt something a regular dude would come into the forums and say. im calling that dude out that he is benefiting in some fashion from trying to point out cool base unis in the forums or something. they are the same unis as the other ones and they arent real, and they dont look any cooler than the regular unis so his whole thing seems a little odd.

Ok, ok, ok.... I've never had so much whoop-dee-do over one of my posts before. I am in no way at all affiliated with any company that distributes this game. I'm just a fan of baseball and the 2K series, and loved last years game emensely. I actually liked the cutscenes last year as well as all the zoom-ins, but last years game definitely looked better because the graphics were so much better. So compared to this year, last years' cutscenes were absolutely better. Now we all know that 2K8 doesn't look as good as 2K7, but if there was one thing that I could say that looked similar it would be the cutscenes, because obviously the gameplay doesn't look as good. Now about my comment regarding the Cool Base uniforms, I think I was more referring to the Spring Training uniforms than the regular home and away of any team. If you play a game with the Spring Training Cool Base unis you will obviously see a difference in the material from the regular home and away uniforms of any team. And when they do the close-ups during the cutscenes I believe that the Cool Base unis look pretty realistic. I think more realistic the regular home and away unis for any team. The Rockies Alternate looks this way as well. You know, the black sleeveless ones with the purple undershirt (LOL!). Just look, there is a difference. And I was simply making a comment that I thought they looked good in the cutscenes, and if anything at all, the cutscenes in 2K8 could be compared to those in 2K7, but the gameplay just doesn't look as good, unfortunately. i am sorry if i came accross as i was attacking you, although i was objective to your post i didnt intend on making a big woop te do about it. im enjoying the game, uniforms are a sore spot with me, it just seemed odd that you highlighted cool base uniforms in your post. you cleared it up, i was just like wtf cool base uniforms omg this dude works for 2k. i wouldnt put it past them i mean they released a game trailer highlighting cool base uniforms and now there a dude in the forums claiming "cool base uniforms are awsome in the cut scenes" so i kind of coniptioned out overe here, at the end of it im sorry for attacking your post, but i do think cool base uniforms need to be omitted from the game since mlb teams dont wear those uniforms and some of the teams are missing actual uniforms they consistantly use.

The new pitching mechanic. Once you get this down, and you pull off a pitch when it really counts, there's deep satisfaction there. I'd say the same holds true for the new metered throwing mechanic. It's just very rewarding to make a play using these new controls.

Today I had a game against the Tigers with Beckett pitching. Two outs, man on first and third. The count was 2-2 and I threw a curve ball. The concentration was intense and the payoff of Beckett getting the strikeout was great. It just adds a whole new level of immersion to the game.

I agree man. The new controls are great. It's going to be hard for me to play another game with simple button controls after using the innovative controls in this game. It really adds to the experience.

Don't worry about it man, I just think you needed a little more information. You were reacting through a post on what you read rather than just asking what I meant by my post. Like I said, no worries, it's all good. But I must say that I know that I have seen some players, maybe not full teams, wear the Cool Base uniforms during the season. You can tell cuz under the arm there is a ventilation type mesh going on to help with cooling ("Cool Base"), plus the material of the shirt is probably lighter. Last year I know I saw Schilling wear that shirt quite often as well as Jake Peavy from what I remember when the Sox played the Padres last year. So again, the entire team might not wear these shirts, but certainly individual players do. In the game they actually used the red alternate jersey for the Red Sox when they should have actually put in their St. Patty's Day or their regular white home jerseys as this is the one I saw on "Big Schill." I know you don't like the uni's but I do, I think it gives extra options to what you want your team to look like. But I must say before we start making gripes about uniforms we should make bigger complaints about the glitches and framerates and the gameplay, if we haven't done enough of that already(LOL!). I also want to say that I am also upset that the Mets white home jersey isn't present in the game, but I have a feeling we'll see it in some kind of download. Hopefully! Later

I like all the nasty things the crowds say and how they react.
I play mostly as the A's and this is what I've heard from the stands:

"I'd rather be dead than an athletic supporter"

"The Orioles are about to go the way of the dodo" (beating the Orioles badly)

"I never really did belive in angels" (against the LAAAAA Angels)

"Booo. Johnny McTraitor" (During Johnny Damon's ab in OAK)

They also booed Ramon Hernandez and Dan Haren an awful lot...not sure if that was just a coincidence.

Had a ball go over the fence from bouncing off Endy Chavez glove in left field. He made an animation as if he caught it and then realized it went over. Nice little touch.

- Base runner going to second with the second baseman looking to tag him but the runner dodged the tag and forced the fielder to throw to second for the force.

As I am sure most of you have seen, there are plays in which the ball will be hit off of the pitcher and another infielder will get to the ball and make the play. Well, I had this happen on the very first play of the game as the batter lined it off of Smoltz and it bounced to Escobar at SS who threw to first for the out. Now, the official scoring of this play should read as a 1-6-3 putout, with both Smoltz and Escobar getting the assist.

Sure enough, as soon as the play was over I went into the boxscore just to see if they scored it correctly and both Smoltz and Escobar had an assist to their name...
