So many of these questions can be answered by just simply watching the in-game tutorials.

True, but sometimes when I'm in a game and those tips come up and I just disable/skip them. Can I go to a menu read all the tutorials?

Don't worry. I'm still getting blown out on All-Star, so I'm sure one run won't make a difference. Thanks for the help. I think you're right that it's based on the position of the player in relation to the camera angle.

Same here. The funny thing is I still haven't won a game, but I don't feel All-Star is too hard or the CPU is "cheating". I feel like I give up runs because of mistakes I make. Now if I could just hit the ball to alleviate the defensive mistakes I make.

Just a quick question...
How do you shake off a pitch, but move the catcher to a different position? i.e. the catcher calls for a fastball up and in, but you want to throw a changeup low and away. How would you reposition the catcher to move outside, to prevent the inevitable wild pitch? Clicking A and moving the left thumbstick works sometimes, but other times the catcher just plants himself in the middle of the plate and doesn't move. Thanks.

I skip them also "A" button....but if I have any questions (Like alot of the ones asked here) all you would do is pause the game,go to tutorials (iirc) and it gives the list of different ones available.

How do you pitch from the stretch? People keep telling me i am doing it wrong. Other the the standard way how would you do? They dont seem to explain it to me.

Push back, it expands, push forward with the desired circle size you want, let go when it retracts to the middle.

Open the lineup card w/LB. Select the current guy pitching and a little side menu should come up with the option to visit the mound.

move the left stick and then press A when your pitching cursor is in the position you want your catcher to set up. dont press A first

Here's another cool one I learned

- When pitching, press A to shake off the catcher and reset him. He will reset to where the pitching marker is located. Useful for payoff pitches

He resets where the curser is located? That should have been something that made it into the manual...

I like to let my catcher call the game, but is there any specific way to tell if he's calling for a strike or a ball? I can see which pitch he wants and the general location, but the way the strike zone is it's really hard to tell if he wants it outside the zone or not.

In 2k7 it was easy, the pitch selection would be red or blue. Would be really helpful because it lead to a realistic amount of walks.

How do you pull up the ptichers statline? How many pitches he's throw, his confidence, etc?

How do you display your (user controlled) batters hitting zone? You know the Red and blue highlighted area's? Is this not in-game any more? Oh and does anyone else feel like they just get lucky with hitting? Sometimes I'll see the pitch coming inside and am ready to pull that bad boy to left field, only to see the pitch pop up to first base! Soooo frustrating!
