Supposedly he's with Activision now. I wonder what VC is going to do with this "third year"... if they're going to stick to Brinkman's plan, or completely attempt to reinvent the wheel and go a brand new direction.

As long as its improved from this year. If they could just take 2k7 graphics, this years control scheme. change the animations, ai, and framerate. Too me the framerate is a major issue. And include zone hitting ala high heat.

I love the gameplay from this yr, and the look of last years...I agree if they can do something about the framerate, and polish the graphics...and maybe add an expansion mode or something to franchise I would be satisfied.

The upside is it just means they can start out fresh with a whole new 3-year plan, which gives 2K baseball gamers something to look forward to with eager anticipation, AGAIN!

I mean, let's face it: announcing your product sucks and then telling the public it won't unsuck for another 36 months, isn't exactly the best way to promote whatever it is you're selling. The whole 3-year plan thing was brain-dead stupid to begin with.

haha little league world series haha thats a joke!! im glad i dont have a wii! because you would probably be forced into buying that game because 2k8 on it looked like a ported sega saturn game haha and even then i think world series baseball 98 had better graphics. I just hope whoever takes over the reigns for 2k9 comes out soon and has a press conf or something and let's the fans know that they are already developing the game or gives us their plan. It would be interesting to find that out sooner rather than be in the dark for the next 10 months, only to be scratching and clawing for information two weeks before release. I have hope for 2k9!

Wrong on all counts. And he's not working on that title.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

i mean IS he or is he NOT on MLB anymore? Aftre the debacle that 2k8 was for you guys critically and community wise the dissapointment in Brinkman as a producer should have been enough to kick him off. too me he didn't understand "next gen" he might have shined on last gen but he certainly did not understand next gen. even with the analog control it was sub par any advancement he thought up of...

First yes, thank godness brinkman is done, Yes visual concepts is taking over, Yes kush crappy games is gone, Yes there will be a third year but probably a new license deal will be struck for VC. and 2k7 and 2k8 are crappy because the dumbest AI ever, the AI is horrendous I can predict almost a 9 inning game on 2k8 now and the weak responsiveness on the controls as well. BIG HINT FOR 2K9 : SCRATCH the "MEATball

Ben Brinkman is working at Activision, not 2K. The remnants of Kush moved from LA to SF. For family reasons, Ben decided not to follow. He is not working on the Little League Baseball title which was mentioned in this thread.

Who are "you guys"? Blue Castle isn't Kush. We're doing just fine, thanks.
