1- stocky player models are gone

2-signature styles blow away any 2k baseball game

3-stick controls are a complete joke in 2k baseball games. (you can actually walk guys in the show with its so called primitive button scheme. the meatball pitch is a complete joke and very, very, unrealistic.)

4-and i know all this from the demo which is out for the show. hows the demo for.........oh yeah, again they havnt released it yet cause again it will propbably be garbage!!!!!!!!!

wow you went over the deep end with that statement, i think the show is good but it doesnt touch 2k when it comes to sig. style and with over 300 more added this year i think maybe you need to take a math class to refresh your brain on how to add

Stocky player models are still in.Saw it in the demo...And the T-Rex arms.I thought my bro was watching Jurassic Park when I first saw him play the demo.

The Shows signature styles are better than 2k's?...

They couldn't even get Ryan Howards stance right last year, and he was the freakin' COVER BOY!

Hitting,pitching and especially fielding with the right stick, is way better than the button mashing that The Show offers.I agree with you on the meatballs though, they were lame, but their most likely gone now,cause that was everyones biggest complaint in 2k8, along with the framerate...BTW, I have no problem pounding the strike zone in either game.

And I could careless about when I get to play the 2k9 demo.I still have 28 games(plus playoffs) to play in my 2k8 franchise, so even if a 2k9 demo was out right now, I'd still play 2k8 more, because I want to finish the season.

Where are you seeing stocky and jurassic builds. cause i aint. post a screen shot of one if you are so sure. and dont post one of ryan howard as he really is stocky and jurassic.

It has nothing to do with being jealous of PS3 owners like somebody else said.My brother has a PS3 and that pretty much means I have a PS3, and I have given The Show a chance to impress me every year since 2006.I bought 06' myself and was not impressed with it.My brother loved it and has bought the game every year since...And every year I give The Show a shot, and I just get bored with it.

Great post, some people are so caught up in their own bias that they just can't see straight. I think people are way off when they say things like someone being jealous of PS3 owners, it just makes no sense. I can afford a PS3 but I just can't fathom spending that much for one game when I think 2k plays a better game of baseball for my taste. Imagine someone not liking 2k better than the show, oh the horror.............

Well we know what The show will give us , and due to 2k track record I would wait for a full review before buying as they burned me before , does FOM ring a bell.
But the screens and options are looking nice

plus Vc is working on it

I am going to give 2K9 a shot this year. I bought The Show last year after all the raving I read here on these forums and I was pretty disappointed with it. I got bored of RTTS pretty quickly and something just felt off in Franchise.. Cant explain it. I didnt get 2K8 last year due to the frame rate problem but 2K9 is coming first this year if I even buy an MLB game.

The only thing I like about The Show, is how it reminds me of Jurassic Park...I love those movies.

When a double play is broken up, it looks like the epic T-Rex and Spinosaurus fight in JP3!

I really dont know why you are saying this. you seem to be the only one that thinks this. its clearly not true. i have both games. i used to play 2k exclusively until last years joke came out. and having played both games, i actually think that the 2k player models are a bit on the stocky side. but anyway if you want to talk about a real joke, check this link out. http://www.gamespot.com/features/6188187/index.html i will play 2k9 and i hope they make some improvements, but the show is just a much better game. every game reviewer in the USA cant be wrong.
