I did this last year, and never once encountered a problem. Haven't ran into any this year either.....

I know this might be asking a lot. BUT, could you by any chance list the players' contracts that you are editing? That would make it so much easier for everyone else...

This is the site I'm using. I scroll down the page for each team editing the contracts by the years listed. If the player is in the final year I leave it alone. If the player doesn't have 6 years of service time (free agency eligible) I leave his contract alone; unless we're talking about Ryan Bruan, Lincecum, or a player who the team never went to arbitration w/ and has a contract.

The end result is a HUGE increase to most/all stars and 28 yrs old and up players.

Man, this stinks. With 4 kids, I simply don't have the time to edit these contracts year after year after year.

              Aaaargh!!

That's sort of my reality. Although I only have one child, but instead of actually playing some games I've spent the last few nights editing...

I started last night and I just plan on editing one or two teams contracts per day, I don't plan on simming too much so as long as I get finished with every team by the end of my first season I'm not in any rush to edit every teams contracts

Great, I am one of those people who can't stick with a franchise for more then a week. That would be a pain to edit everything just to find out I don't want to be that team anymore. Ha, I guess I'll just wait till I'm more then half way done with my season before I start editing players, just to make sure I'm going to play the whole thing out.(If I even make it that far).

Now if you were to upload these rosters, the contract info could be included, right? Or does it have to be in the start of a franchise?

You have to do it in-franchise. I've seen folks w/ NBA2K upload an association file for people to use. Don't know how to do it, but if someone can tell me I have no problem uploading my franchise file w/ contracts edited, 40-man rosters, and Strasburg, Chapman, Pedro Alvarez, Dominic Brown, and other prospects...

This is stupid....franchise is broken...again, as it was last year. What a piece of sh*t company.

Yes, I really hope we can do that because I can spend my own time editing prospects but this contract stuff is an absolute game killer.

That'd save us all a lot of time and heartache.

There must be someone for us to download a fixed franchise if you could do it with NBA 2k, right?

I'll have to talk to Yellz who posts in the NBA2K forum. He had an association file that you could download that he managed to sim teams records to identically match a set date well into the season. His file basically allowed you to pick up and play franchise games from December, having simulated November so that standings and all transactions were identical to the real NBA.

Maybe he can tell me how to do it. I downloaded one once before I while back. There's something you have to do w/ the profile to make it work....
