"No but I will." LOL. I remember that from last year haha.

Yeah that would be cool though. I hope they did some stuff to end of game celebrations.

do the umpires still chill in their stances when the game is over? for some reason that really bothers me that the guys calling the game don't realize it's over.. haha

This is probably way too detailed of a question, so feel free to ignore it, but I was wondering what pitches are available when creating a player.

Are there position specific attributes for each position. For example, does Pujols have a defensive rating for 1B?? If that rating does exist, can you edit the 1B attribute and set it to 0 and then set his 2B attribute to 100. Does that change his primary position??

How is the crowd noise?? Are they loud/quiet when appropriate?? Do they boo/cheer when appropriate?? I guess the real question is, how is the stadium ambiance during pivotal situations??

They did not in the game I just played. Insted KRod just gave some love to his catcher and the camera also panned to Jeff Franc-O running in from the OF (he ended up being Pepsi Clutch Performer of the game for his game-winning RBI -- so the game actually picked a suitable candidate this game).

The camera cut away from the plate after the final out so I didn't see where the ump was at.

I really love progressive lighting in baseball games, and it actually looks like they did very well with it this year.
So in the Afternoon game I just played it was pitch black by the bottom of the 3rd -- so it might be interesting to see what a July game maybe bring about since I did it on MLB Today time, which would be April. I noticed the lighting changing mostly after half innings rather than between batters.

Fastball, changeup, screwball, knuckleball, splitter, cut fastball, 2-seam fastball, forkball, power curve, circle change, palmball, knuckle curve, slurve, eephus.

I just went to edit player and cycled through the pitches rather than creating a new player, but I assume they are the same.

Yes there is a fielding ability position attribute for each position. I changed it and it still left the player as his original position even when I zero out the original fielding ability and make another position attribute 100.

Crowd noise is all right. I feel like it's a little on the quiet side, but they do get more hot and bothered in the bottom of the 9th etc.

                        ----------------------

Just played a Mets (me) vs. Nationals (cpu) game at Citi Field. I actually am still playing on Pro and won 1-0, so the 10-0 whooping of the Padres maybe not a sign of things to come (but obviously I have given up 1 run in three games, so it's my offense lagging behind not my pitching). I will bump it up to All-Star next game.

-John Lannan went CG 8 innings. Rigglebiddybottom probably should have pinch-hit hit for him in the 8th, but chose not to with one out and no one on. Riggleman also let Lannan swing away with a man on first and no outs in the 3rd -- he hit into a double play rather than bunting.

-A peculiar thing happened in I believe the beginning of the 7th inning. During the game you can press pause and see how much energy each pitcher has left. For whatever reason, both pitchers had energy levels that went back to 99 (both were down in the 30s around the 7th originally). Now, the pitch count still was normal and the pitches didn't get a jump in effectiveness, but it perhaps lead to Riggleman keeping Lannan in for that 8th inning at bat rather than pinch hitting for him. The energy level stayed at 99 for Lannan in the pause screen even though he was clearly laboring on the field until there was one out in the 9th (I kept checking after every out) -- he was at about 110 pitches when he finished his last inning. Santana's stayed at 99 until I pulled him when Dunn hit a two-out double in the bottom of the 9th. Santana was laboring and at 100 pitches as well on the field. Basically, it's not a big deal if the CPU doesn't go by that screen to decide when to pull a pitcher who is tiring. But, either way, something to keep an eye on.

-The slides into home crack me up. Seems like every hitter does this big slide into home base on their gut, and then it looks like they stick their head down and just eat dirt as a dirt smoke screen comes up around them.

-Citi Field had a lot of stadium-specific stuff. The airplanes were flying overhead throughout, they had a Jose chant, they had a let's go dave chant, and I heard some cowbell at one point (they do that at Citi Field?).

Here's a funny video of Santana taking a ball off his iron skull:

Then just a regular picture of Santana on the mound:

The face tool is like the one in NBA 2K10. So there are presets and then also an ability to go in and fine tune the face with the left and right analog sticks.

His name was Chance, not Chase. (If that was a play on words, then I get it, but in case you were being serious, then the more you know, GI Joe etc. etc.)

                            1. Can you edit jerseys/uniforms this year?

                            2. Have you dived into franchise yet? Like to see if they have something called League History like NBA2K10? Where it records the championship winners and MVPs of your franchise.

                            Thanks!

Sorry if this has been discussed, but there's a High-A?? What other minor league affiliations are there? Only AA and AAA can be played, correct? Are the other leagues just there or are there statistics of their games? Can you discuss the minor leagues and how they work? Thank you!
