    Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

Alverez went cold but Jones and Doumit are still beasting. I managed to hit back to back to back HRs with Sizemore,Jones and Alverez.

Few pitching changes made. Maholm to spot #2,Dan McCutchen to Giants for some prospect, sent down Mendeza (or whatever his name is...it's Ledezma and I still have him, don't remember who I sent down now.) called up Evan Meek and signed a 75 rated prospect off the FA list for AAA.

Still haven't lost but had a couple of really great games with the Dodgers with late inning heroics. Almost blew a save with Bailey. I was up 7-2 last game against the Cards, pinch hit for the pitcher in the bottom of the 8th with Andy LaRoche and since I was up by 5 and had someone else ready anyway I pitched with him the 9th. Gave up a hit to the first guy but then got a double play and actually struckout the 3rd guy.

    For whoever asked about Hafner...he's played 5 games,.167 (3/18) with 2 RBI,1 walk and struckout 5 times.

Last time I posted I was 0-6 well since then I am 4-8 and on a 4 game winning streak. Hafner has it 4 homers in 2 games. I really need to bring Carlos Santana up but just don't want to yet..

      Love the updates!!

        Re: MLB 2K10 Franchise Progress

I FINALLY hit a homerun with Ryan Theriot. It only took 118 games(447 AB's), but he did it. He got a high fastball middle of the plate and belted it out dead center at Busch Stadium, the homerun was either 403 or 413 feet. I saved the replay, because it is one hell of a feat for me. It was against a righty too, he has 42 power vs righties. He was also able to get his average up to .270, where it hasn't been for a few weeks.

Now the only remaining cub on my roster without a HR is Starlin Castro, and he has been up for about a week. In his debut, he went 2-4 with two singles. He's only hitting .190 as of now, but I'm going to stick with him because he is good with the glove and he will most likely turn it around(he's had plenty of hits robbed from him).

I still lost the game 7-3 though

Edit: Hafner is hitting .282 with 6 HR's through 195 AB's in my franchise. The Indians starting 1b, Matt LaPorta is beasting it up though. Hitting .298 with 29 bombs through 429 AB's.

Ha, not sure, way too good I know that. I think around 77-42. There's a few reasons for that, the cpu cannot hit homeruns against me(even with 100 power), the cpu has only hit around 60 or 70 HR's off me all year and the lowest total last year given up by a pitching staff was 119 and the average was 168. Also, the cpu's bullpen absolutely sucks against me just about every game. If you were a conspiracy theorist, you'd think there was human comeback code.

I'm looking into fixing them though, because I'd like it to be much more of a challenge than it is. Possibly going to reduce all my guys control by 50 or 75 percent and see if that helps the cpu actually hit some homeruns(and possibly walk guys), because with how it is now I can pinpoint every single pitch so I hope not being able to will raise their HR numbers. For the cpu's pen, I'll either just raise each relievers control, movement, or vs lefty and vs righty. It takes a while to get these right though, because when you change one thing you gotta change another. So while I test those outside of franchise, I just continue to go on with my franchise.

No, but I don't think I will for a few reasons. I'd rather use the swing stick, I guess I'm more used to it now(although I may try out classic at some point). Also, other than the relievers who have low control ratings I get good results while hitting with my sliders. I hit around .265 and probably get a little too many homers, but if I can fix the cpu bullpen pitchers from throwing balls right down the middle time and time again the homerun numbers will be right where I want them to be.

22-15 in my Dodgers chise. Just came off a 7-6 victory against the Padres, largely because of Ronnie Belliard's pinch hit 3 run HR in the 8th when i was losing 5-4.

Ended up Sending Black Dewitt, and moving up Xavier Paul. Ad i also picked up Adam Eaton as a relieve pitcher because my bulliten desperatly needs some more people, since practicly ever game i have to rely on them by at least the 7th inning

I can try and do it when I get home tomorrow, but I don't have my ethernet cable with me right now.

So far he has. I only played one game with him in the starting lineup, and he went 2-5 with a RBI double. Not bad, especially since Dewitt was doing horrid the last month
