I get two shutout innings from Santana and in the top of the third Reyes draws another walk to start the inning, then a single by Castillo, then Pagan hits into a double play, but in an effort to do a take out slide I hit the wrong stick and send Reyes home by accident and the cpu ignores him and he scores. Anyway, the inning ends with me up 2-0, so bottum of the 3rd, Wainwright is set to lead off and for some strange reason they pinch hit for him. After that the wheels fell off for the Cardinals and I went on to win 9-4
    oh, mercyful heavens.

Funny that you mention this, cause in my franchise I am struggling with him as well. About at game 62 and he has a .205 BA with 1 HR and 10 RBIs.

I really love the guy too. I mean he can bring SO much to a team. He's got a good glove, can get to almost anything in OF, can steal, can hit for power, etc. I'm just not getting it done w/ him right now.

If it continues and say Lidge struggles he may be headed to San Diego...

Sigh. Nats and their bullpen is going to drive me nuts.

Nats vs Marlins (i'm playing Nats)

          Score: 5-1 Marlins

Top of the 7th: Bases loaded, I have Zimmerman up to bat. Hit my first grand slam. I was screaming at the TV! Was so happy! Tied up 5-5 now.

Then in the 9th, Bergmann (my relief) throws a sinker, but wait...it's too high and Dan Uggla DESTROYS it. Goodbye..goodnight..outta here! Sigh.

Marlins beat me 7-5. Great game, but I really need to fix my bullpen. Pretty realistic though because the Nats are horrible because of their bullpen. I have alot of work to do.

Still playing my Cactus league games right now as the White Sox. I am beating the Indians 4-2 in the top of the 9th. I put Jenks in, thinking he will close the door. Gets the 1st out. Lets one guy get a single. Grady Sizemore hits a 2-run shot. I go on to lose the game in the 11th. It was sad and also my first loss.

His composure is a 50 and his fastball are hittable (64, 60 rtg). If he does struggle my first step is moving Madson to the closer role. He's an 80 ovr and has 3plus pitches.

As it stands vs the Nats right now it looks like I won't be needing the services of Brad Lidge as I just put up 8 runs in the B5th. John Lannan was throwing a no-hitter to begin the inning, but just unraveled after he was ahead in the count and hit Howard trying to come too far inside.

Here's the gametrack from that inning:
                -Ryan Howard HBP.
                -Jayson Werth strikes out swinging.
                -Ibanez singles, Howard to third.
-Polanco doubles, Howard scores, Ibanez to 3rd.
-Brian Schneider singles. Ibanez and Polanco score.
-Cole Hamels sac bunt. Schneider to 2nd.
                -Rollins singles, Schneider scores.
                -Victorino singles, Rollins to 2nd.
-Utley doubles. Rollins scores, Victorino to 3rd.
-Howard homers. Victorino and Utley score.
                -Werth grounds out.

*Jayson Werth got 2 of the 3 outs that inning. I'm really struggling w/ him.

Back to Lidge though...if he does struggle and Madson can't get it done I'll look to trade for Heath Bell since he's been rumored on the block irl.

EDIT: Final score on this game was 8-1. Nats got a solo HR from Zimmerman in the 8th inning. With Hamels at 85 pitches after 8 innings, and a 7 run lead I opted to get Chad Durbin some work in the 9th. He gave up a hit, but closed the game out.

                Howard finished 1-2 w/ a BB, 3-r HR, and 2 runs scored.
Catcher Brian Schneider was the player of the game going 2-4 and knocking in 2 important runs before Howard was able to blow it wide open w/ the 3-run shot.

Hamels struck out 3 over 8 innings giving up 9 hits, 1 ER, and 1 BB.
Lannan was untouchable through 4 innings, and had thrown 5 K's before the 5th, finishing w/ 6, but he just unraveled. I guess Philadelphia just needed to play their first home game of the year to REALLY get things going.
Lidge has done well for me, too. He's 5-for-5 with an ERA about 3.25.

I really enjoy pitching with Contreras and utilizing his forkball. He's nasty in this game. Danys Baez is also pretty reliable.

I have 8 HRs with Werth through 30 games. Howard leads all of baseball with 12.

so you guys wouldn't recommend fixing the whole payroll stuff for every team and then just playing one team. I find although i'd wanna be authentic i still would want to win so being unbiased would be hard. I just want a decently good free agent pool from time to time.

also, you can edit all the rosters and their pay in management save it as a roster and load it on 2kshare. no need for franchise file.

question, if you control all 30 teams to edit their budget...

                        a) what do you actually have to do?

                        b) can you edit the salaries then uncontrol the other 29 teams

                        c) if you cant uncontrol the other teams and just sim through free agency will the computer sign guys for them or will you have to do it for each team

                        thanks in advanced

You have to go through and edit each players salary to his correct salary(which can be found here). You actually don't need to control all 30 teams, all you have to do is turn "Edit CPU Rosters" on.

Havent gotten to play recently, baseball has begun once again (im on my high school team).

Anyway, I have a question for you guys - do you see any difference for hits with fielder speed at 50? I would like to have achievements unlocked, if possible.

I can't justify moving Lidge at this point, and esp if he is pitching good but I hate using him. Ever since he's been on the Phillies and I've been using him as my closer I've never been able to get his slider down. I throw sliders w/ other pitchers and have no issue, but his I just can't get down. I hit too many batters with it.

I haven't even pitched w/ Contreras or Baez yet. Although I used Baez for the O's last year and didn't really like him. I do know how dominating a forkball can be as I was doing awesome last year w/ Koji Uehara's forker.

I just fired up a Tigers franchise after adjusting to the game and I'd like to be able to create some minor leaguers if they get called up. They have some young arms and I think a guy like Strieby may get a call up at some point as well.
