I have this exact same problem. Made a player. Played through most of the AA season, got promoted to the Majors on September 6. Played rest of season with my team. Played in a one game playoff against LA and won, then pressing A to play my next appearance simulates all the way through to November 15th. I don't get it.

How do you sim all the games and turn off key games / clutch moments? I can't find it in the options menus.*****ly reached hall of fame status with my 2nd baseman... in the middle of my 7th season with the *******

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
How do people deal with the hitting. I have no problem hitting it just that I can't find a happy medium with the power and contact *******. I've adjusted them up and down I either hit nothing but grounders or I pound the heck out of the ball. I am playing on pro level right now.Comment

once you reach hall of fame status every time a key game and clutch moment pops up it says "hey future hall of famer do you want to play this key game yes/no"Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
question for all you playing the game, just got email that Gamefly has sent it and can't wait. I have seen on here that many have said stay in the minors for a year and then come up so you can benefit for more skill points, friend of mine has the game but said he didnt see an option to not except being called up..how do you go about staying a full year in the minors? Im going to make a CF switch hitter...where should my early pts go contact? power? or a mixture of both.-= Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.=- Edward MurphyComment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Just started a new MP as a closer - got drafted by the Reds and so far after 14 appearances I still have no saves.. i havent been put in a save oppurtunity yet.. its very annoying.
I throw a fastball and a power curve. Currently have 24 strike outs through 16 innings. I'm sort of working on my pitches and stuff before I upgrade my MLB call up meter so I dont get rocked in the MLBComment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I'm sure this has been asked before, but is there a way to simulate games in my player mode? Before HoF status.
Really digging the game mode, but beyond being a closing pitcher, there's no way I can play multiple seasons if I have to play EVERY game.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I recently started a MP as a SS for the jays. I have played every game and am loving it. But. I have yet to turn a double play from the second baseman. Will it ever happen? I know that you can do it in training but I haven't done it in a game yet. Has anyone done this yet?Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I'm also a SS for the Toronto Blue Jays LOL, I was called up from AAA 20gms ago and I'm batting 3rd now. I've turned some double plays (catching the ball and throwing to the 2nd baseman to get the first out and Aaron Hill throwing while jumping to get the 2nd out at first base)I recently started a MP as a SS for the jays. BTW, has anyone played MP and experience any day-offs? (if you are a position player) And has anyone experience any line-up changes? (facing right hand pitchers vs. left hand pitchers)
I haven't yet for both.2018-2019 NBA Champions!Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
Just started a new career with a CF for the Yankees. In my first season and just got called up to the majors and have played about 5 games for the Yankees so far. I've gt hitting down pretty good, just power hitting (HRs specifically) is very hard, and I've only gotten 1 in my career (in the minors). It seems that when you power hit, you swing WAY too slow, and I almost always get "very late swing". Other than that, though, I'm doing pretty good.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
yeah...just use the calendar and pick a future date and choose option "simulate to date" ...it may interrupt for a clutch moment though and force you to do that.
Sinner: You can prevent being called up by not reaching a goal. ex. if you're vs rhp contact needs to be 65, you can keep it 64. If you're just getting the game though, your batting avg may keep you down anyway
I had a crap avg, and got called up about 20 games into the 2011 season.
You will play big league spring training no matter what though.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I am still having a blast with this mode. My SS for the Mariners is in his fifth season. I am sitting at a .336 career BA, with 155 HR, 584 RBI, 133 SB, 2 MVP awards, three Silver Slugger awards, two Golden Gloves, one WS title, one WS MVP and countless other awards.
I'm rated a 97 overall. Granted, I was playing on Pro for the first 2.5 years, but even after bumping it up to All-Star, I had a .345/42 HR/139 RBI/38 SB last season enroute to my second MVP (and first WS win).
I probably need to bump up the difficulty again or look at some sliders, but the mode still poses a challenge as is. I usually just go on 10 game hot streaks.
I'm the third highest rated player in the game.
I have yet to really run into any big glitches. It gets annoying when I hit a deep fly ball with a runner on third and he refuses to tag and score, but oh well.
My SS is well on his way to the HOF at this point.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
My player is hitting .438 20 games into his MLB career with a 20 game hit streak, however, I only have 1 HR. Should I bump the difficulty? I don't want unrealistic stats, but my power and contact vs lefties and righties are both 76, so I should have way more HRs.Comment

Re: MLB 2K10 Official "My Player" Thread
I played all games my first year in AA with Washington, hit around .290 with no HRs as a SS and lost in the playoffs. I got a Spring Training invite, but simmed most games at hit .250 with 5 HRs. I am now starting year 2 in AAA.
Here's the wierd thing I just ran into:
My calendar shows a 3 game series to open the year against Scranton, then a 1 game series against Lehigh Valley, then an off day with training. I play the first 3 games, then go to play the next and notice that it doesn't jump ahead and highlight the next day's game against LV. It stays on the last day of the Scranton series, yet it loads up a game against LV. I play that, then advance to the next appearance, and it is another game against LV (with the proper day on the calendar highlighted). The next day is supposed to be a training day, but it loads up another game, this time back with Scranton, and still on the day that the only LV game appears on the calender. So I ended up with a schedule like this:
Tu - Scranton
W - Scranton
Th - Scranton, Lehigh Valley
F - Lehigh Valley, Scranton
Sa - Training
There is supposedly another 1 game series later in the month, so I bet this will happen again then. Anyone else seen any wierd scheduling issues like this?Comment
