The Jays are now 2-2 on the season with a convincing 11-3 victory over Seattle. Bautista is a beast. 2 more home runs today. 5 on the year so far.

All 30 Teams / Philadelphia Phillies:

Completed a sweep of the Mets with Roy Halladay going 9 strong to improve to 4-2. Halladay did not surrender a hit until 5.1 innings pitched when C Josh Thole double in the LF gap.

Halladay would strike out 10, and the one-hit-shutout would get broken up in the 9th w/ a David Wright double that scored Josh Thole from 2nd; Thole had two of the Mets 4 hits.

Pretty dominant performance from Halladay who secured his 1st win of the year. All in all his line was:

            9IP / 4H / 1ER / 0 BB / 10K / 107 Pitches / 73 Strikes.

Phillies got 2 HRs in the game. Howard, who hit a 2r shot - his 5th of the year - which has him homering now in 4 straight games, and John Mayberry who had a solo shot cranked to LF for his 1st of the year. Ibanez and Polanco would also drive in runs.

Next up....Phillies head on the road for their first road series, and first matchup w/ division rival Atlanta. Cliff Lee takes the mound against Tim Hudson...should be a good one. Lee looks to bounce back from a subpar outing vs Houston where he gave up 4 earned runs in 7.1 innings.

I have a quick question: Is there any particular reason to use 30 team control? (like The Show has some viable CPU issues that are easily dealt with with 30 team control)

I apologize if my question reeks of noob ahead of time.

Despite a better outing from Cliff Lee the Phillies would lose to the Braves 3-2 in 10. Tim Hudson kept Philly off balance all night scattering 5 hits over 7.2 innings, and leaving the game with a 2-0 lead. However, in the top of the 9th the Phillies took advantage of Hudson being pulled and fired back with 3 runs in the inning. Cliff Lee had been set to be the 3rd batter off the inning, but was pulled for lefty Brian Schnieder who would single in two runs. Raul Ibanez would knock in the go-ahead run, and Cliff Lee was now in line for the win...

However, ATL had some fight left in them....

The Braves would tie the game up 3-3 in the bottom of the 9th after JC Romero could not record an out against his only batter faced (Brian McCann), and Jose Contreras could not close the inning out allowing ATL to score in the inning.

Ryan Madson took the hill in the 10th with the game still tied 3-3, and walked the leadoff man which would eventually give way to a Nate McClouth walk off single with 2 on and no outs.

Phillies fall 3-2 and their record falls to 4-3, 4-game winning streak over.

I have all minor lg tasks set to cpu enabled, and I think I need to set injury mngmt back to user enabled because the cpu will jack up your lineup if it is not.

I was remissed in finding there's no way to automate FA signings.

I can give more specifics and post once I get home.

                          Padres fans...

What is the skinny on Aaron Cunningham? I am eyeing him as a potential platoon mate, and def replacement for Raul Ibanez. I want an OFer who has a right handed bat too.

Should I go after the 24yr old Cunningham or vet Chris DeNorfia?

                            Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

I go into Texas for a four game set against the Rangers riding a game winning streak. I crush Texas in the series opener 8-1 with Morrow pitching. For game two, I have Jesse Litsch up from Las Vegas to make the start in place of Brett Cecil, who was sent down after struggling throughout the first month. The game doesn't start too well for Toronto offensively, and we were down 4-0 through five. But in the sixth, the Jays showed some fight as Aaron Hill drilled a three run shot to cut the lead to 4-3. Toronto would get the tying run across the plate in the top of the 7th to make it 4-4, but in the bottom half, the Rangers strike for a pair off reliever Octavio Dotel to take a 6-4 lead. That's how this one would finish up with Neftali Feliz picking up the save in the ninth. So my six game winning streak is over and the series is now even at a game each. For the third game of the series, Marc Rzepczynski is up against Brandon Webb. Texas strikes first once again with a first inning run; however, Travis Snider and Edwin Encarnacion hit back to back jacks against Webb to give Toronto the 2-1 lead. That lead would hold until the bottom of the 4th when Texas struck again for another run to tie the game at 2. Unfortunately, I had to go to bed at the end of that inning and was unable to finish the game, so I had to go the save and quit route. When I resume the game later today, it will be Toronto batting in the top of the fifth.

Morrow is a beast in this game. Gave up 3 runs in the first against Seattle but then was perfect for the next 8 innings striking out 14.

                                Re: MLB2K11 Franchise Progress

Along with my nats franchise, which is more of along term project, I decided to take over the yankees so I could win now. I'm mainly doing this because the yankees don't seem to be as favored as last year and the red sox improved hugely this offseason. Didn't change a whole lot of the lineup, just some little tweaks, like putting nick swisher in the 2 hole, and putting gardner and jeter in a sort of leadoff platoon. I play about once every 3or 4 games.

Swept the tigers, then took the first 3 of 4 from the twins before getting blown out in the last. Next series was in boston, and I plan on playing all of these. I'm about halfway through the first game of the series, which is garcia against bucholz. crawford hit a triple w/ the bases juiced to put them up 3-0 in the first. Garcia settled down and gave up another run in the second. A-rod hit a solo homer in the second, and now in the fourth, pena, who was giving jeter a rest, knocked tex in, to make the score 4-2. later in the season, Ill try to get another arm for the rotation, and add some depth in the infield.
