The Red Sox have Pedroia playing SS. The Rockies have Fowler playing LF and Gonzalez playing CF and the list goes on...

Also the CPU doesn't make good substitutions very often. I've seem them keep a SS in the game to play 1B after pinch hitting even though they have a 1B on the bench. I've also seen them sub in a left handed throwing 1st baseman to play 3B. Just terrible overall management on the AIs part. This is a major problem that needs to be addressed.
That depends on the fielding ratings the players have for the positions. Last year it was the same, this will only be adressed if the roster editors look for this and change the ratings. 2k won't do something against that.

Edit: I tested ingame. You are right. My initial answer was wrong. I don't know why the AI subs the players. E.g. Young is by default a 89 CF and Upton a 91 RF. Young is by default a 71 RF and Upton a 73 CF. I don't know why they even should switch - makes no sense to me.

Still seeing outfielders hesitate too throw the ball too home when a runner is advancing. Really need to fix this and the AI logic when throwing too bases. Baserunning logic is bad and the AI subs for right/left handers-vs-right/left hitters needs work. Also player postions sub needs work too. Please 2K, u have too patch the uniforms colors for teams. Boston, New York, Detroit and others are just wrong and too light!!! Please fix the uniforms in your game...PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A huge issue is when you tell a guy to go from first to third and he pauses at second for a while, then starts running to third. This usually causes in you getting caught in a rundown. This seems to only be a problem when going from first to third and not in any other situations.

PLEASE FIX THE FRAMERATE ISSUE WHEN GUYS ARE ON BASE!!!

Theres unbelievable lag while pitching with guys on base and it seems to only happen to only one team in the game, and some parks are worse than others... like marlins park is terrible when playing with people on base.

it seems to only happen when people are on base, and I guess by the looks of it its only in online games since no one here really mentioned it

Of course base running needs to be addressed as well, tagging up and trying to advance shouldn't be this close, they take forever to start their running I guess and need to start faster
Do you play the PC version? I had this problem too. But then I turned down my graphic settings and now I don't have this problem anymore.

Really minor issue but the O's should default to the Alternate 2 orange jerseys when playing at home on Saturdays

Enlighten me how the team who scored the 2nd most runs in the NL (REDS) should only have a 79 rating for batting? That doesn't make any sense, sorry.

There are a few too many highlight-type plays in the game. User controlled. Not every player can make these types of plays.

Also, first basemen are slow to react to user commands to throw home after recording the out at first. Aggressive opponents usually score from second on grounders to the right side as a result.

Finally, catchers should always be positioned in front of home plate when receiving throws from fielders for plays at the plate. Never behind the dish.

Re: MLB 2K12 Feedback Thread (For Future Patch)

When I fast forward pitching the cpu pulls my starting pitchers way too quickly. Often I'll have a starter only allowing 1 or 2 earned and won't finish the 5th. My starters do have low staminas (I am the Padres), but they should average over 5 IP and not under 5 IP. They rarely qualify for a win even if they leave the game with the lead.

And I'd like to see balls be able to be hit over OFs heads, but this one isn't huge.

                      Has anyone noticed the same?

Regardless how high I set up the injury frequency slider before starting a franchise, always the FIRST user controlled team (e.g. the first of one, the first of three, the first of thirty) gets no injuries while simulating the season.
The other user controlled teams will get injuries, the first selected team not.

Ah, and what I also want to state:
this damn amateur draft which is completely unrealistic ruins franchises realism even more than it is already ruined. If those amateurs at least would have ratings that qualified them for A or AA - okay, but they regularly show up in MLB rosters, that is complete BS.

Mlb today season. Opposing team pitcher is "undecided" at the home preview screen and has incorrect starting pitcher when starting the game.

Also, minor issue for me, but the game starting time for the jays vs red sox game on April 10 was a daytime in the game when it should have been a night game as in real life.

I really hate how the AI decides to take over your controlled infielder and try to apply a tag to a runner instead of following your command to throw to first base for the third out of the inning. Hope that can be corrected.

The crowd noise needs too be patched as well. Still seeing that in the late innings, the crowd is still sitting down and not making noise like in the real MLB when the home team is about too close the game out. Also on 3-2 pitch counts against the opposing team, the crowd is still quiet and not making noise or standing. It would really enhance the atmosphere if this was fixed in the next patch...please fix this 2k!!!!!!!!!!!

Seen this a few times. Cutoffs from center intended for either the second baseman or shortstop are beind thrown to the first baseman (?). First basemen should only receive cutoff throws from right field on plays at home plate.
