CPU stopped during a potential double play, second baseman picked up the ball and just stood there.

Re: MLB 2K12 Feedback Thread (For Future Patch)
I need to reiterate about the baserunning animations. Please bring back the animation where the batter is busting it down the line on an infield grounder. Also, on stolen base attempts, the runner should also have his 'head down' busting it to the bag instead of the new upright 'casual run' animation. Just looks awkward.
Finally, please ensure that nothing gets broken with your next patch (ex. check swings didn't work after the last patch in 2K11).

Re: MLB 2K12 Feedback Thread (For Future Patch)
I started a franchise with a Fantasy draft using the Rockies. I ended up drafting two Rockies players and their stats did not reset back to zero at the start of the season. Instead their stats appear to be adding to last year's.

Re: MLB 2K12 Feedback Thread (For Future Patch)
gameplay:
there seems to be a hesitation or even a pull up of defensive players occasionally.
on one play, brandon philips 2B, just stood there as a single went 5 feet to his left.
another, my SS cozart started and stopped on a similar play.
on a double to right center, my CF started and pulled up a bit and missed any chance of catching it.Comment

The Atlanta Braves:
Sunday red jerseys have their own cap, instead in the game they're wearing the away hat.
Alternate one away jerseys (all navy), in 2k11 they were correct. This year on 2k12, they are wearing the home hat instead of the away hat.
Also, minor detail, in right center in real life it say "THIS IS BRAVES COUNTRY". Not the years the braves have won the pennant.Last edited by Logan55390; 03-09-2012, 10:23 PM.BLACKANDGOLDRECRUITING.COMComment

Re: MLB 2K12 Feedback Thread (For Future Patch)
Yeah that would be awesome, instead they have a windup for him. Which as you know, he always pitches from the stretch. But, Kimbrel is amazing on 2k12. Hands down the best closer in the game.BLACKANDGOLDRECRUITING.COMComment

EDIT: I also drafted Mike Morse, who is leading the league with 42 HRs and 127 RBIs after 6 games too. This definitely needs a fix.Last edited by thegodpapi34; 03-10-2012, 12:03 AM.Comment

Re: MLB 2K12 Feedback Thread (For Future Patch)
4) Could the screen asking about replacing a position player on the mound occur before the screen comes back after the "commercial break"? It would make the flow of the game much more realistic to not see the position player standing out there before being replaced. On a similar note would it be possible to allow pinch hitters to be substituted ahead of time? This would also help increase the flow of the game so as to not show the player being replaced in the batters box.
Do anything to block out the position player on the mount because it is so bush league to see my pinch hitter standing there while the manager comes out to pull him in favor of my actual pitchers. Why not just stick the big 2K black transition screen up while you go through the change?
Check Swing - Is this fixed or not? 1) it is very hard to get a check to occur on an analog contact swing 2) even if you do 'check' it is more often than not called a strike regardless of the pitches actually being a strike. If the 'check' is not automatic and the game has some behind the scene dice roll to determine if you broke your wrists then this needs to be made clear in the commentar. That or the dice roll needs to be removed all together. Too often I hear "check swing but a called strike" even when the ball is way outside of the strike zone. I have seen a couple instances where the game cuts to the base umpire for conformation but that has been far and few.
Replay camera - remove replays of a guy running down the first base line or running on any basepath unless it is a 'close' play at the base being shown. Far too often the replay of an RBI single, were there isn't even a throw to home, shows a guy running to first or a guy running home and not the press view where you can see the actual hit!
I do not us the strike zone or batters eye. I want the least amount of HUD and "hints" possible so if you are going to mess with options please don't break what is already there. In fact, I would like to be able to turn off the pitch hints (red, yellow, flags). While I think the feature is great, it feels like a cheat when the game warns me I'm abusing a pitch. I would like to see abuse be a factor I have to manage without the game holding my hand.
When playing in real time presentation mode I would like to see the skip button (A on 360) become active immediately after a pitch. For some reason you have to sit through some initial batter / pitcher animation before you can press A and skip to the pitch menu. I love playing in real time for all the presentation but don't care to sit through every single batter adjusting his junk and kicking dirt around. I find myself pounding the A button waiting for it to become 'active' and then when it finally does I am pushing it so much I end up with a fast ball queued up.
When I am looking at my bullpen why does it not display anything about the pitcher at the top of the screen before I select him. Even if it was just basic info it would be nice not to always have to right stick click
BUGs
I had a man on first and hit an RBI double. CPU threw to SS cut-off while the hitter was just about to step on second. While there was no play at second the baserunner was mid-way to home and would have made for a very close play at the plate. However, the cut-off man held the ball as if to keep the runner on second in check instead of making the play to home.
One instance I had a base runner queued to go home from second. The circle even had a (H) on it. For whatever reason he stopped on third and I had to manually restart him. Which by the time I noticed was too late and he was thrown out.
Too many instances where runners are tagging up on low hard hit singles. I can see if they are fearful of the IF making a leaping catch but often it is well out of the realm of possibility yet the runners hold up and can even end up getting tossed out at second by a hard single that the CF can quickly field. Then at other times with long fly balls the runners are not tagging up automatically so they miss opportunities to advance on sac flies.Last edited by lnin0; 03-10-2012, 10:55 PM.Comment

however, in another game brandon philips again just would not move for me on an exact same grounder. it was like he was frozen.
he has good fielding ratings.Comment

oh, and as for a future patch, I just wish for now that the hiccups can be fixed. The little slow down here and there on foul balls or even when swinging just are a bit annoying.Yankees, Manchester United, Chicago Bears, New York RangersComment

Re: MLB 2K12 Feedback Thread (For Future Patch)
Commentary still mentions 2010?! Wtf. Playing against the Red Sox, the commentators talked about Ellsbury being hurt in 2010 the same way they did in 2k11. It should be replaced about his fantastic 2011 season instead.
After the game is over, and when the stats page load. You cannot cycle through the <> and [] with the mouse. You have to use the keyboard. Make it so the buttons are clickable. It's like that in some menus, but in 2k11 and 2k12, it doesn't work for the menus after the game. It's a really simple fix. I can even add the code in if I had access to the files. Come on now...Comment
