    Shawn, two questions:

    1. Has the double switch been fixed? Last year you couldn't do it.

    2. Last year in franchise, fictional players names were not "spoken" during games. It either said their number, or in some instances, the player's name that coincided with the picture the player had. (eg. I had a black second baseman named Joe Hoover that had Ray Durham's picture. When he came up to bat, the announcer said, "Now batting, Ray Durham!") Has this been fixed?

    Thanks.

    1. Actually, I've tried and tried at this. You can get it to work IF you want to sub for both the pitcher and a hitter. However. let's say you've pinch hit for the pither with your backup 2B. In the next inning, you wish to leave that pinch hitter in as the new 2B, and place the new pitcher in the slot of the old 2B. Can't do it. You have to replace two people.

    2. I haven't has the opportunity to find this one out, but I do know they the announcers don't speak the name of created players. I created "Derek Rodriguez", and put him on the Yanks. He was only either referred as the "second baseman" or by his number.

Thanks for answering our questions. Here are mine.

                  1. Has the gameplay dropped off since last year or does it still deliver fairly realistic stats?

                  2. What is the collision detection on homeruns and foul balls like?

                  3. Is it more possible for the human pitcher to walk CPU batters this season?

                  4. Are the CPU runners more aggressive on the basepaths?

                  5. Has the stealing bug (human controlled players safe 90% of the time) been fixed?

                  6. Is the slider for CPU pitcher control more sensitive thuis year? In other words, how difficult is it to draw a realistic number of walks?

                  7. Is this year's game better than last year's in terms of realistic gameplay?

                  8. Do the skies change or are they always sunny like last year?

                  9. Can you now begin games at dusk that progress into darkness?

                  10. How is the new zone hitting?

                  Thanks again.....

                  <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

                  1. It's very similar to last year's - in play and stats.

                  2. Do you mean after they leave the park? I don't pay a lot of attention to that kind of stuff, but the ball bounces off of whatever it hits.

                  3. More possible? You could always walk batters... The pitcher's control feels slightly "looser" than last years, and it could cause more walks. You won't be doing it often accidentally, though.

                  4. Yes. That's definitely been improved.

                  5. I wish I could give you an answer. It's still really tough to say. I can say it's not as bad, at least.

                  6. You're not likely to draw a realistic number of walks out of the box. That's not as much of a criticism as it is an understanding of the way console baseball titles are designed. The sliders will undoubtedly help those so inclined to change the way the game plays to suit their tastes.

                  7. No. It's not really better. It's extremely similar to last year's release. If you're striving for realism, by the way - I'd turn off the turbo run/throw option.

                  8. I've only seen it sunny or dark.

                  9. Not that I've seen.

                  10. I've addressed the new hitting system in more than a few posts. I'm sure you'll find what you need in the thread.
