Signature warm up swing routines & swing follow through for star players

Realistic bats, those bats in the game are way too skinny

Majestic, Russell, New Era, Wilson, Louisville Slugger, you guys have these companies plastered all over the game, why not use them as apparel and accessories. (example authentic Russell and Majestic uniforms).

Catchers should throw the ball back to the pitcher after each pitch

Professional motion captured athletes, MLB 2005 has 24 professional athletes in their games and it shows based on the gameplay, ESPN needs at least that many for next year.

Base coaches should have numbers on the back of their jersey and they should differ for each team
Get rid of the deliberate walk to the dugout cutscene that just seems to take forever.

The ability to create new players by copying other players. What this essentially does is allow you to base a new player off an already established player for example players that do not belong in the MLBPA like Bonds can be replicated without starting from scratch.

Catchers taking off their mask when chasing foul balls. Speaking of catchers, ASB 2005 has some excellent animations for catchers. ESPN baseball should capture those nuances in their game.

Come July, getting the opportunity to play the Home Run Derby, the All-Star Game itself, and even the Future Stars Game that follows the next day.

      1. Much more and better auto replays (ALA Mvp)
      2. Follow the ball on a HR Replay or towering fly ball - not the shadow on the ground!
      3. Much more crowd and stadium sound (dynamiclly linked to the game) during the game.
      4. Joe Morgan
      5. Animations - Animations - Animations!
      6. Player model team from Espn B-ball/ Football or Hockey.
      7. WORKING SCOREBOARDS!! Both the present game and Out of town.
      8. Those cool half shadow / half lit afternoon stadiums that Mvp has.
      9. Bigger Bats.
      10. Better in game stadium music during gameplay.

Overall it seems ESPN put gameplay 1st (and did an excellent job) which is what should happen. Now brush up on the above = gravy!

My hopes for next year’s ESPN Baseball would be to have MLB 2005 graphics, player faces, player models, batting and pitching animations, network style telecast, ESPN may be the network, but 989 sports camera angles and replays are unbelievable. MVP's sound, and animations, minor league teams, and real managers. ASB 2005 stadiums, spring training, mascots and relievers warming up in bullpen and ESPN’s gameplay minus those baseball bats and swinging animations.

I second the Player collison. I've hit into too many Double-plays where the 2B just puts hit arm through the runner coming from first and just tosses it to first for the DP. After they did it to me the first time I've done it a few times myself. I remember when Albert Belle just destoyed someone with a forearm when they tried it on him. I don't want that effect but atleast make it so his arm don't just go through me.

Fix how errors are scored, I've lost quite a few infield hits that were scored as errors.

how about players being able to have long hair, Craig Wilson & Johnnt Damon just to name a few.

I know thats being Picky but they almost have this game down, just a few little things and they will have it down. Plus with High Heat/Inside Pitch game coming out next year who knows what they will introduce.

Being able to edit a few things in GM Mode. I started one before I got updated rosters and some Batting stances are way off. I understand why you can't edit ratings & Names. It would make some of the goals Quite easy but atleast a few little things.

When you make a trade, have it so 2 players can't have the same #.

More focus on Off-Season, its one of Baseball's most interesting times. Make it feel that way.

When you trade for a guy, have his stats split between the 2 teams, not just for your team.

ESPN nightly wrapup like ESPN NBA has.

More interactive crowd, some fans wearing jerseys. Fans from the other teams at the game. Fans that boo certain players. Like Ranger Fans did to A-Rod last weekend. Low number of fans for teams that aren't in it. I haven't seen that many fans at a Expos game since the Early 90's

I'd like to see the effort meter taken to another level in pitching. You should be FORCED to use the effort meter in pitching (whether it is displayed or not). If you simply tap the button to throw the pitch, it should be a ball in the dirt or way out of the strike zone. Forcing you to use the button's sensitivity (holding it longer for maximum effort) to determine pitch speed and effectiveness. It shouldn't be an option.

This will give human pitchers more control of the pitch effectiveness. My friend just admitted to me that he just taps the button to release the pitch which isn't realistic. That fastball should wind up at my ankles or the changeup should bounce in front of home plate instead of reaching it's intended location.

                        Just my $.02.
