    Re: Official Wishlist Thread

I hope Kush has taken a look at what the developers for espn baseketball have done. That is one great game. The moves, the players (body & face), The stadiums, the crowds. If baseball 05 has just half of what the basketball has, it too will be a great game.

just hope they didn't dismal the franchise mode like VC did in NBA 2K5. If they can tighten up the gameplay and graphics/animations as well as adding more interesting things into the franchise or season mode like deeper contracts, arbitration, new uniforms after a certain amount of years maybe, etc. we will have one sweet game.

It would be innovative to implement "The Fans" in baseball video games. I've been asking for this for years! Out of all of the major sports, Baseball and it's fans interact more than the others. Players dive into the seats for foul balls, fans doing everything they can to catch a foul ball, and at times fans get in the way of the player trying to make a catch. I can't wait till the day I play a baseball video game when a homerun is hit and you actually see fans 10 rows deep diving, jumping and pushing to get to the ball!

Don't even show me another homerun distance unless you show me where the ball lands! In last year's game it would show one bounce if you were lucky. You don't need to show the player 18 times swinging the bat during the instant replay. Show him swing once and then show us where he hit it! I would like to see the fans in Chicago chasing the ball in the streets!

There shouldn't be a homerun hitting contest in any game that does not show "The Fans"!

It would be rediculously sweet, but I'm not sure this generation of hardware(even the Xbox) can handle it in a way so that it wouldn't look cheap.

                              Re: Official Wishlist Thread

Well, after reading the boards there have been some great ideas, so I am sorry if I repeat any.

1- "First Person Baseball" I hate to say it, but you should scrap that altogether and work something else into your games. I know you guys were probaly very proud to put something into the game like that. However, after it's first year out( I did give it a chance) I found it to be un-playable. And for you guys to add any new advancements to it and any more time devoted to it is pointless. Concentrate on other things.

2- Add the ability to have a multi-player in a career/franchise. Where I take one team and my brother takes another and we play with our own teams in the same career/franchise. You don't have to let the human control all of the teams. To start off with, at least permit 2 user's to do this. Heck, the football games allow user's to take all the teams if you want. Why not the baseball? That's because manufacture's are concerned with other "new" game features which amount to crap(IMO) when the game comes out. So put the multi-player in and take out the "FPB".

3- Something that ties into the multi-player career/franchise mode. You need to add an option when your doing a fantasy draft to be able to move the teams in any order you want before the draft actualy starts. In the 2k Football series it takes my a good 3 hours to get my team and my brother's team in the top 5 of the fantasy draft. Because I have to back out and reload the roster and reload the settings. And then pick Frachise form the game options screen and run down through and fix 7 different options. Next I goto the selcet team page and the I have to switch till I get the right user profile for the respective teams. And now we cant start the draft! I have to do this everytime we are not in the top 5. You see why it could be sooooooo much simpler if you add this feature. And you could add different draft types for the fantasy draft. How the fantasy draft is run. You could add "RANDOM, SNAKE, SET STANDARD".

4- This is a programming issue with the sound and the development teams. I agree that there should be louder sounds in the game. The crowd, PA announcer, the teams benches, and on-field chatter need to be upped some. But my question lies within a sound problem I had last year.

I have been a buyer of Sega games all the way back to Dreamcast. I bought every game that came down the pike. And the only gripe over what 7 or 8 years is that for most of your games didn't have the multi-player feature. I had last year's baseball title and I thought that it was a disc error. The only sounds I was getting was the baseball off the bat. And every once in awhile the play-by-play would kick in. I went to the Mall and exchanged the game 6 times because the gameplay was super and I really wanted this game to work. All the other baseball titles last year all had the problems. But what your game delivered I could live with. What I couldn't live with was the game seemed "flat" due to the fact that I was missing the on the field experience. So I found a possible solution on the boards here at this site. Someone to me to chance my system setting from Mono to Stereo. Well I was excited to hear this but whenI went to my systems options there wasn't an option for me to change my sound from Mono to Stereo. And everone kept telling me how to do it(like I was stupid) and I couldn't do this on my own. But the truth was I didn't have this option. So I called VC and he called me back and suggested the I go into my system settings and change the sound from (you guessed it) from Mono to Stereo. I said hey man I don't have that option. Then he asked if I had an RF switch going form my T.V. into my system. I said yes I didn't have any V.C.R. or any R.C.A. cables going into my home stereo. I only had an RF switch. I told him last years baseball had sound and that all the other Sega titles in years past had sound. He said that eventhough all the games are from Sega there are different groups of game developer's that work on each game individually. And that the maker's of the baseball forgot to permit the use of the RF switch in the games coding. So no matter how many copies of the game I got I would only be able to hear only one of the sound channels.

Now that there is a new developer (Blue-Shift) the same folks that did Hockey. I had sound in Hockey. Will I have sound when using an RF switch? Will this problem be corrected? I have called and sent letter's but I have not received any response on this.
