Really though, the Reds led in all 5 of the games they lost in real MLB last week. They have also blown at least 3 games in which they held the lead going into the 9th, so it does happen in real life. Oh, and they also blew a 9 run lead last week, so the EA screw is well and alive in real MLB as well! I suggest an intentional walk here and there! Oh, and Octavio Dotel isn't god, neither is Mariano Rivera. How many saves has Dotel blown in real life already, 2 or 3 at least? Now Gagne of the Dodgers, he just might be god in a bullpen. Make a trade for Gagne, dude is automatic bro!

Its happened to me too. Even if you throw a pitch to a players cold zone, they will still get a hit once in a while. Thats how baseball is. You win some, you lose some.

      <hr /></blockquote><font class="post">

To add to this, if you hit player's cold zones all the time or use the same logic with your pitchers (such as the same first pitch or the same location) the CPU will recognize this and adjust. It happens.

Also a slider on the inside can definately be yanked for a HR. Maybe it was a rolling slider that didn't move much or maybe it was a slider that moved too much and wound up over too much of the plate.

Nothing is a given in this game....

I hope that everyone knows what a cold zone and a hot zone is.

A hot zone is any zone where your batter bats over .300.

I believe a cold zone is where your batter bats under .200 in that zone.

            Neutral is .200 &lt; x &lt; .300.

It has nothing to do with your power really. I mean, it may be a coincidence that your red zones are where you are hitting most of your home runs, but that's not the intention of it, although it may appear that way.

Well, I've been convinced all season long that the Diamondbacks suffer from catch up logic any time Matt Mantai takes the mound... 5 blown saves baby!!!!

                  Seriously... closers do blow saves!

Personally, I've noticed over the years (dating back to WSB on Dreamcast) that this game gives up the most homers to slider pitches. I very, very rarely throw them unless they're way outside...if it's a tight game try not throwing a slider...stick to fastballs up and in or low and away....depending on the players hot spots.

Let me say that I love the true aim batting and the fielding in the game. I am getting realistic stats BUT I have a lot of blown saves with Dotel and Lidge. I just hate when I have a lead and then in the 8th or 9th inning it falls apart and lose. The CPU has big innings sometimes.
