Maybe this will have Microsoft release a new Hight Heat or Inside Pitch (or a combo of the two games) for the PC. Of course, if 989 could develop MLB for the PC, I would be happy.Comment

Re: Getting a bit angry at Take Two
A lot of guys are saying that there won't be MVP after this year. I'll bet that there will be. I don't think that EA would tank the brand entirely. Even though I am not an EA fan, they certainly know how to push their name brands. I wouldn't be surprised to see a "generic" baseball game with the title MVP on it. TakeTwo may just do the same with football. There probably would not be a whole lot of production resources thrown at those games. But they may be thinking that the name could sell. Just look at Madden. If TakeTwo had gotten the exclusive rights to football, EA could push a generic game out the door with Maddens name on it, and it would still sell very well.
Some people would buy an old mop if it had the word Porche on it.

Re: Getting a bit angry at Take Two
It still sucks that we never got a Take-Two baseball game at $20. All of the other sports released one game at $20 to pull people in. I suppose with an exclusive deal, they don't have to pull people in -- they'll be the only game in town.Comment

Re: Getting a bit angry at Take Two
T2 had every right to do this. It's business and sometimes it can be messy. The only thing I fear is that this may lead to a dwindling of the sports gaming market with these companies taking potshots at each other. As long as the quality of the games are within reason then i'll keep buying.
At least with baseball you'll have an option unlike what EA has done to the football gaming market and we should be thankful for that even if it's only a small consolation.
The rest of your points I don't mind. Cover athletes mean little to me and 40 bux is less then what you'd pay for most premium games.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Getting a bit angry at Take Two
First off, ESPN Basaeball 2k5 will be $20.00. The price hike will go into affect once the Next Gen Systems come out.
Secondly, this deal is great for Take2 simply because they now have the attention of EA Sports.
EA will have to step-up or they will get blown out of the water. We all know that VC & Kush are much better developers then anything EA Sports has to offer.
With the Next Gen Systems right around the corner, Take2 in my opinion has done a great job in putting EA on notice.
PS: Let's not forget Take2's acquisition of Top Spin, Links & AmpedComment
