I again don't see the point of worrying about the cover athelete. It doesn't change the way the game plays. I wouldn't care if your homeboy Beckett was on the cover even though he mowed down my beloved Yanks in World Series game 6

. All I'll say about Jeter is he is a gmer and a winner (that's all he cares about). Is he the best shortstop? No, but he just brings an intangible that can't be measured in numbers/stats. Are you telling me you wouldn't want him on the Marlins?

I wouldn't care if jesus himself was on the cover of the game, if the game is GOOD.

Make a good game and I'm there, that's the bottom line.

2k5 looks good so it's for me irregardless of who's on the cover.

having said that, if they put jesus on there- i'd buy 2 copies.

I was implying that there is no way to judge better cover athletes.
