the best was when i played Houston opening day at Shea... the Espn ticker comes on and, suprise, apparently they are ahead of Cin 4-0 w/ Carlos Hernandez starting. (i was facing Clemens).. of course a few innings later the game froze.

And I have yet to see a player of the week.

There apparently is a problem if you sim with news on a Tuesday (and another day I think) it actually deletes your players of the week and/or month.
So when simming the other games on the schedule, choose Sim Without News and you should start seeing your players of the week.......

There apparently is a problem if you sim with news on a Tuesday (and another day I think) it actually deletes your players of the week and/or month.
So when simming the other games on the schedule, choose Sim Without News and you should start seeing your players of the week.......

This is one I haven't read so I'll post it.

Bottom of the ninth, deciding game of the NLCS, tied 2-2, CPU opponent has man on third with two outs. Big hitter at the plate, so I call for the intentional walk. Apparently the CPU has the squeeze bunt on, batter goes into bunt animation, runner on third goes home. Run counts, I lose the game AND the NL title.

Pretty ticked off.

But apart from the passed ball bug, the worst is the roster bug where you end up with a lineup with two CF and no SS or other untenable combinations. Completely destroys playability as you have to spend an hour trying to mess with player rosters and callups trying to resolve the thing.

^^^ that is absurd. What kind of bug is that? Why should we have to Sim WITHOUT news on some days of the week and WITH news on other days? I play these games to have fun... I don't want to spend my time worrying about how I have to sim the games. Insane.

That pic sort of illustrates the problem I have with the game. As you can see the accronyms TB and LA as well as the scoreline are not fitted properly into the box but "hang" maybe an inch below the proper place on the screen and it's like that with I'd say 80% of the in-game text. And a good chunk of the menu text as well which often cant be read anymore since it's black text that was supposed to be in a silver box but instead hovers over the dark blue background.

I read on the 2k message board that this happens when you have PAL Xbox and the game is made NTSC

Here's my story. Game One of Franchise. My Padres lead COL 2-1 going into 9th. I bring in Hoffman to close it out. Long story short, winning run scores for COL on passed ball which was a strike right over the middle. Then in the post game box score, Hoffman's name is not listed as having pitched at all. My 8th inning reliever is credited with the win for my opponent, and the rest of my pitchers listed are all either on the other team or in my minor league system. What a freakin' joke. How did this kind of thing make out the developers door? This game is completely ruined.

Good call. Thats what it is indeed. Changed XBox settings to NTSC and it worked, of course then the image was black/white but thats more to do with my TV set than the game. It is rather odd though since I own all other ESPN 2k5 games and a host of other NTSC games and I've never had such a problem before.

Happens to me EVERY TIME I play this game. My AAA CF has six MLB saves and has never even been on my MLB roster.

Does ANYBODY have a fix for this, I've tried absolutely everything. Through seventeen games I am 11-6... but my #1 pitcher, Jeremy Bonderman, is 5-0 even though he's only pitched 3 times, lost twice and had one no decision. My #2 starter has 11 losses because he gets credited with the opponent's loss every time I win.

The stats are so so broken in this game... the only fix I've seen is to not change pitchers at all during a game or to gamecast through the ninth inning... which I guess I can do but it kills everything.

I traded in the xbox version for this but i will get the ps2 version if it doesnt have this bug.
