    Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread

    I can't take it anymore.

The game is now recording fielders as relief pitchers in the end-game stats. Sometimes, only SOMETIMES, the game actually credits an actual pitcher, but unfortunately then it's always a MINOR LEAGUER WHO'S NOT EVEN ON THE ML ROSTER!!!!

I refuse to accept this mediocrity any more. It's going back to the store for a refund. 2kSports is getting off to a HORRIBLE start with MLB. The actual game engine is fun, but the bugs are just too many and kill the fun.

    This game is broken.

      Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread

Does anyone know how to register complaints with the dev? I've sent e-mails in the past (regarding their other buggy content, i.e. college hoops, NHL) but I have never received any acknowledgement that they received or cared.

There has to be a better way to address issues than posting in this forum, where the likelihood of someone from Take2/VC seeing is small.

Once, just once, I'd like to see Visual Concepts release a game with minimal bugs. Or, at the very least, address the bugs from the LAST 5 YEARS!!!!!

      ARRRRRGGGHHGHHHHH

(okay, calm down, breathe)...alright, can anyone who has played a lot of MVP tell me if the bugs/glitches in that game are nowhere near as bad as MLB? I've never given the EA game a chance, but that may change tomorrow.

MVP is a really solid piece of software (and in my opinion, a great baseball game to boot). Just be prepared for a steep learning curve if you're unfamiliar with their hitting system.

I know how you feel about not knowing where to send complaints... I've posted here, at 2ksports.com... I feel like I'm howling in the wind. I'm not sure what to do with MLB 2K5, get rid of it or let it sit on my shelf on the off-chance they patch it?

It's sitting on the shef until they patch it. I will be getting MVP this week.

Thanks for the update. I think I'll go pick up MVP tomorrow, even though it's been years since I picked up an EA title.

What's the odds of a patch from VC/Take2? I mean, sure, they release patches for online-related stuff, but do they have a history for fixing offline issues as well?

Well they fixed the no timeouts called by the computer for NBA 2k5 and that was an offline issue.

I've started noticing strange stat problems too, like pitchers not getting credit for K's in the post game stats. I've also seen a few batters not get credit for hits. And I have yet to see a player of the week.

Yet the actual game on the field for me has been super. I have not seen as many passed balls as others, and the games play like they should. I have had a couple memorable games. But the poor stat tracking makes it difficult to make roster or trade decisions when you have no idea if the player you want actually performed the way his stats indicate.

I sure hope they patch it, although with them being the only game in town next year I don't know if they will. MVP had bugs last year, and people were singing the blues, and this year they are fixed and everyone is happy (I have both games). I'm sure Kush will have a better game next year, but I hate to see them get off on the wrong foot this way, because it's obvious that they did put a lot of work into the game. Do they have a history of patching their games? Which other 2K games have been patched?

I don't know if this has been mentioned already, but try doing a fantasy draft (I did it in "Season" mode, don't know about the other modes).....the results are just, well.....bizarre.

This game IS broken. It's really sad too, because without all the bugs, it would be an amazing game - the engine, the graphics, the presentation are all great. But what's the point if you can't play it?

I hope they patch this one up, because I really wanted to like it (and still do). I'm not a fan of EA by any means, but as things stand right now, there's just no competition. EA released a game that is decent (at the very least it's playable) for people who want a sim experience, Take 2 did not. I'm really disappointed, and if they can't patch this version, I certainly hope that next year's version is taken care of.
