Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
After playing quite a few games, I am seeing new glitches. Some of them are infrequent enough for me to "ignore." And some really make me think, "What was KUSH doing?!?!" I feel it is important to document these things so that KUSH can address it next year. I am also going to give them a call.
1. There are passed balls in the outfield. For instance, If an outfeilder throws it to the second baseman or third baseman, sometimes they will just stand there with their gloves outstretched and watch as the balls fly by.
2. The "Auto-round" bases feature is flawed. Sometimes the CPU will round the base when they shouldn't. Once the CPU rounded third on a throw to the infield that the pitcher cut off. This lead to the pitcher giving the 3rd baseman a quick little underhand toss to throw out the runner as he attempted to go back to the base following his "auto-round." This also has happened at first.
I thought I had this beat by simply turning "auto-round" off. Instead, another glitch happens. The runners headed down the first base line always run to first as if "beating out a throw," even when the ball is a single hit to the outfield. The only exception is when the ball is hit to the gap or to the wall.
3. Also, as far the outfeilders making that "looping" jumping in the air with the arm outstetched catch, no amount of tweeking to feilder agressiveness or speed seems to fix this. I had both settings where I thought it was perfect, but now I see that the CPU outfeilder will slow down on their approach to fly balls, then speed up at the last second to make the looping catch animation. Like someone said in another thread, the looping animations must be "coded" into the gameplay.
4. Why does pushing up on the right thumbstick result in a turbo boost when you are chasing down a fly ball headed for the fences?
There are some other little things but I won't list them now. I will only list them if they keep popping up over the course of a season. Hopefully they won't.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
The good news is that the passed ball bug is a thing of the past. The bad news:
I guess the developers don't know that on the 2nd visit to the mound during an inning, the pitcher must be replaced. In this instance, Mota was replaced on the third visit.
The loooooooooooping throws make me absolutley sick. Are you kidding me!? I have runners beating out routine ground balls.
What about the other day when I'm in my season in game one against the D'Backs with Prior on the hill. "Hey look at the scores at the bottom of the screen. The Cubs play the Giants at 10:05!?"
No variance at all in the effort and classic pitching modes...even with the slider set at 100 and 1.
That's enough for nowComment

I'm sure you're just trying to help, but just to let you know, you come off a little condescending, not to mention unhelpful.
First of all, if you haven't seen #4 you are in the minority of those who play this game. Secondly, #3 isn't something you "see," it's something you do with the controller. Thirdy, #2 is not something that happens in real life. Players don't run up the line past the bag on hits to left feild. Fourth, concerning #1, I wouldn't go as far to call it a passed ball in the outfield if it were an offline throw. The ball simple goes past/through the player's glove similar to the passed balls that would go past the catcher.
Is it a little clearer for you now?Last edited by inkcil; 03-15-2005, 06:29 PM.Unofficial OS Ambassador of "CPU vs. CPU"

Re: Official "Bugs"/"Glitches" Thread
Does anyone know how to fix the double positions in the lineup glitch? Someone says don't worry about it because before you start the game it goes back to normal. If that true then there no way for me to keep the lineup accurate is there?Comment
