Re: There's no excuse for freezing by now Kush
It's not your Xbox's, it's Kush. They've had bad problems with freezing. Check NHL 2K4, NHL 2K5, College Hoops 2K5, and now MLB 2K5. For the NHL game they even admitted there were bugs causing the 0.1 second lock ups and what not. I can't even play Franchise in 2K5 because of bugs. Don't try and use the Xbox drive as a scapegoat. They just need to actually test their products and stop rushing them out the door. I'd be more than happy to wait an extra 2-3 weeks to assure a much more polished product.
With that said, they release great playing games, just need to have better quality control.Comment

The franchise/dynasty freezing in NHL 2k5 and CH 2k5 are definitely issues with the games. In NHL 2k5, it has to do with a CPU controlled team having too many or not enough players dressed. If that's the case, the game will freeze up. There is a workaround for this issue (do a search for it in the ESPN NHL 2k5 forum) and it's saved my franchise twice. In CH 2k5, the problem had to do with the Settings file. My dynasty locked up and I read that you should delete the Settings file. I did that and I was able to get past the freeze point. I'm not sure about in-game freezes, since I've only had one game freeze in NHL and none in CH.Originally posted by ThatCanadianGuyIt's not your Xbox's, it's Kush. The ESPN games are great, but they are the only games which I feel the need to have multiple saves to prevent losing my dynasty/franchise due to the constant threat of freezing. I don't have MLB, but I don't doubt freezing could be a problem with the game. Just because it hasn't happened to you, doesn't mean it isn't an issue.Comment

Re: There's no excuse for freezing by now Kush
Keirek, I would not care to address that problem. Anymore than I would care to address the freezing and lockups of other games on the PS2. I'll leave that for Sony or the game makers. All I am doing is pointing out what worked for me. And I believe that if others tried it there problems could be fixed. I'm not looking for a fight. I worked my problem out logically. I am trying to help some gamers get past their frustrations. What I did to fix my problem has been done by countless others. For months I did not want to face to possibility that I would have to spend more money on my Xbox. But I finally did and things are working now. To me, that's valuable information. Whether folks believe me or not, that's not important to me.Originally posted by KeirikAlso, you haven't addressed the issues as to why people with ps2's also see the freezing in other Kush games. Care you address that one ?

well, i'm not looking for a fight. I'm simply showing you some serious flaws in your argument. Even in this very thread, a few posters above are pointing out other freezing problems with other Kush developed games. In other boards, people have been posting freezing problems with both ps2 and Xbox versions of Kush games. In another thread i just read a few minutes ago on THIS very board, a user has been saying that there already has been some slight freezing problems on the ps2 version of mlb2k5.Originally posted by bubba4Keirek, I would not care to address that problem. Basically then every problem must be a hardware one and can never be a poorly coded game. Sure. Of course that is the most "logical" explaination. Uh huh

Re: There's no excuse for freezing by now Kush
Keirek, there are no flaws in my argument. We could go on for months about which game causes lockups and freezes. I remember when I was in a debate with someone, and I was telling them that it was EASports games that were the problem. After all, for me anything from EA was locking up. I blamed the games from EA. I was wrong and I admitted so. There are MANY MANY games for the Xbox and PS2 that are giving us problems. When someone says, "I have a problem with ___________ freezing and locking up all the time", We could insert many game titles in that space. We could also insert a lot of game developers names in that space. But when I can take the very same game that freezes when I play it, and put it into a friends Xbox and all is well, logically, that says something to me. Plus, when I swapped out my dvd drive, and my Xbox now plays MLB2K5 without problems, that screams something to me. Where is the flaw in that.
